This beautiful beach is at Nelson Bay. A tiny shack settlement with a permanent registered population of four. That's right, four. If you want off-grid living, this is the place to be. And far enough from the rest of the world to be able to not give a care either. In this part of the world, the Tasmanian east coast is a foreign country.

The Bay of Fire located on the northeaster coast of Tasmania gets its color from orange lichens that have accumulated on the rocks. Lichens are a combination of algae and fungus.
Thornwick Bay derives it's name from "Thor" the God of Thunder because of the roar of the breaking waves on the rocks during a North Easterly gale which pounds the magnificent cliffs

A re edit of a shot taken a year ago at Binalong Bay, Tassie in the early morning with Luke O'Brien workshops.
I tried to get to Dunraven Bay on Sunday to get some sunset shots but the car park and road was completely jammed so gave up and went to Nash Point instead only to find the light had gone! So here are two shots taken a couple of years ago!
The awesome Marina Bay Sands hotel, Singapore. Photo taken on a very humid, hazy day . You can just make out a bit of the Gardens By The Bay in the background.
I dusted down my filters and took some shots of a local beach - Mumbles Lighthouse in the background is a local landmark and is still a working lighthouse although now automated

Well today I thought I'd intercept my uploads from my recent trip to the Faroe Islands by instead sharing an image from this morning at Ullswater in the Lake District.
With the forecast for a possibility of mist I thought I'd head down to the Lakes, and sure enough as I was driving down the motorway I hit a blanket of fog near Penrith. I decided to venture along a section of Ullswater that I'd never explored before, from Pooley Bridge along the eastern shore.
It was a wonderfully serene morning, with hardly a breath of wind. There are a few photogenic trees along this path which forms part of the circular Ullswater Way trail. There were also some boats moored along the lake which looked lovely emerging from the mist.
