My father took this picture on my first birthday. I discovered it in my parents' house during my Easter visit to my hometown Augsburg.
The main reason for going to my hometown was a birthday present: a ticket for the football match FC Augsburg vs. VfB Stuttgart. FC Augsburg won 6-0 :-)))
I'm not sure if this spot has a name, per se, but it's a photogenic little pool close to the Devil's Bathtub. I ended up spending a fair bit of time here exploring different compositions. This was actually my first real image from my new D850 as well!

Most of what you see in this image should be underwater but due to the ongoing drought the level of Lake Powell continues to fall. You can see where the normal water level would be by the "bathtub ring" of white stained red rock. The top strip of sandstone is the color of the surrounding rock not exposed to lake water.
Lake Powell is currently 157.31 feet below Full Pool (Elevation 3,700) By content, Lake Powell is 29.08% of Full Pool (24,322,000 af) according to the Lake Powell water data base.
Calcite deposits left by the receding waters of Lake Powell due to the extended drought in the west. Navajo Canyon, Lake Powell, Utah.
Kitty loves sitting and being petted in the bathtub...I don't even know why. She doesn't want to wash or drink from the tub or anything, she just...really loves sitting in it. I don't understand her strange ways, but she's still cute!
