Bathtime is much more fun than it was when Danny was a few weeks old. He now enjoys splashing, making silly faces and getting mom and dad soaked.
I am wrapped in a big bathrobe. Holding it tight against my skin. Standing in the bathroom and sights. With one hand around my waist and the hand turning the hot water on.. My hand turns to my face and I whip a teardrop away. My hand turns back to add some colder water to the steamy hot bath.. I bite my lip gentle as I burned my hand to the hot water. The bath is now slowly getting full.
I step back and hold myself tight. The bathrobe feels so soft on my skin. A new teardrop is sneaking his way down. I tried catching it but I was to late. A small circle appeared in the bath and grows. I touched the water and it feels so nice. The bath is now full, so I turn off the water flow.
I am staring at the water.. Knowing it would be a waste if I don't enter. I hug myself once more before I remove my bathrobe. And place it in the dryer with 2 towels and set it for a short dry program.
Gentle I slight in the bath. Biting my lip again because it was still warm. Once I am in, teardrops start falling down. I let them come each and everyone of them. Memories of the past flash in my mind as a movie. I hold myself tighter and curl up. My hand wrap my knees tight against my chest. I lay my head down on my knees.
My skin is burning and feels like there are a million little skin burns. I reach for the sponge and the soap. And starts soaping my entire body. I feel how it stings but I wont stop. At every sting I feel a teardrop gliding down. Some hurt more that others I bite my lip. And said to myself "Beauty comes with a price. And your heart is a beauty so endure the pain! Be the pretty woman that you are and fight those tears away." And that is what I did. After all the pain and teardrops war. I start to calm down again.
My skin is turning numb and a little paralyzed. The water is cooling down. It feels so nice and calming. A start to splash around. And soap is all around me. I blow the foam on the wall and make a little soapy beard. A small smile appears. But than the goosebumps came.
My skin is is being stabbed by a million little swords. I bite my lip to stay strong. And keep saying "I am a big girl and I am beautiful. You can endure this just fight it!". Before I could say it for the third time... I realized I lost. Teardrops are running mad crazy down again.
Between my sniffles and screaming the words "STOP HURTING ME!" I hear a beep and after 2 seconds again. I let one hand go from my knees and pulls the plug. I stand up with haste. And I rush to get out of the bathtub. I reach for the dryer and slipped.
I felt a pain in my neck and at the back of my head. I opened the dryer while I was on the ground. Taken the the warm and fluffy bathrobe out and wrapped it around me. The pain in my head gone worse, so I decided to take a sit next to the bathtub. I played with the water with one hand and hugged myself with the other. I started to whisper "You are a good girl. And you are amazingly pretty. You have been fighting hard. And survived and you lasted longer. Thank you my dearest water for embracing me and help me cross my boundaries."
A small smile appeared as I closed my eyes. I felt the world slipping by me and all went dark after. I heard one final splash and a warm glow surrounded me.... "H..e..llooo... my.. fr..i..ends.."
Apparently two versions were made one with pink and one with yellow robe and towel trim. The yellow one was originally my first Kelly doll when I was 10 (passed later to my cousin). I bought both versions later on.
What do you do when your Blackbird gets dirty? Why, give it a bath, of course! I spent the day with a great bunch of volunteers, most of whom were stationed at Beale AFB (and other places where the SR-71 Blackbird was at) and performed maintenance on these magnificent airplanes. They all pitched-in and cleaned her right up!
This is a large puddle that a bunch of Noisy Miners and Blue-faced Honeyeaters were using for an an afternoon bath. They were lightning fast at flying in for a splash. One hit and out again in the blink of an eye. I managed to get a lot of splashes minus bird and a few with bird!
