One of our mini-treks we went on from Portland, Maine was to the "Cool little town in Maine" known as Bath.
Despite its public image, we have shown this farm to be causing heartache for both mother cows and babies 💔
Workers hit, kicked and abused cows. Mothers treated as milking machines... standing on hard concrete for up to FIVE hours a day in the parlour.
Calves dragged from birthing pens and put into TINY individual crates. For up to 28 days! One calf cried for over 39 HOURS after separation from their mother. Cows cried for their babies.
All so that we can consume DAIRY

Yesterday I just caught out the side of my eye a stunning little Blue tit having a bath in our small water feature but couldn't get the camera in time to snap it !
Today I hoped it would return so hung about, camera at the ready, for a couple of hours and my patience was rewarded !

though my zoom isn't great, I tried to show the homes off in the distance. Either way, it was a beautiful sight.
Bath time — looking pleased with myself. That’s probably because I have warmed up after my wilderness bath. The pool wasn’t as deep as I thought — mid-thigh — and a lot colder than I’d anticipated, so I didn’t go for full immersion, but I did stick my head under the falls. The Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Bath, commonly known as Bath Abbey, is an Anglican parish church and a former Benedictine monastery in Bath, Somerset, England. Founded in the 7th century, Bath Abbey was reorganised in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries; major restoration work was carried out by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. It is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country.
