Hillcrest Elementary parents got an opportunity to walk in their children’s shoes during a “Back to School Bash” hosted Aug. 10. Parents transitioned from class to class, meeting rotation teachers, the media specialist and cafeteria staff. Hillcrest staff taught student expectations and also shared their list of credentials in their respective fields of study. Principal Dr. Sherrell Edmond said she was impressed with the high level of attendance, and also rewarded every visitor with punch and cookies as they passed through the cafeteria. Hillcrest Elementary is a Leadership, Environmental Awareness and Public service (LEAP) school that follows Stephen Covey’s “Seven Habits of Happy Kids.”

Clobber World is a planet inhabited by millions of ferocious beast. It’s run by clans of monsters known as Clobbererz with massive arms capable of crushing some of the hardest objects known. They are constantly warring over the control of the planets natural resources and remain in a state of tug of war.
They are all unique and have different characteristics that make them particularly useful under certain circumstances. While most Clobbererz fall in with the typical grind, a few choose to use their talents in heroic task of valor and honor. They are heroes.
