One Last Roar at Candela

Morning sun hitting the top of Bash Bish Falls gorge.

 

The falls are about 60' high, but the gorge it falls from is about 3 times deeper. In fact, there's another quite impressive cascade up in the gorge that can be seen if you hike the perimeter trail. But entry into the gorge is forbidden and dangerous; the spring thaw releases large rocks into the gorge.

The United States Army Garrison Japan and its 16 supported installation sites are located in the island of Honshu and Okinawa in Japan.
