A bit too cold to be working in my shed workshop so I have been busy organizing my basement one. Still moving things about and organizing but this is a lot better than it's been since last winter
Thank you, Thomas Hawk, for the scan. Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA. Basement shops for the trades: plumbing, electrical, biomedical. Circa 1983.
The plumbers finished their work in the basement. They jack hammered a bunch of concrete to move the city water line and two sewer lines. The pressure assist toilet is pretty cool. I'm tempted to try flushing an entire roll of toilet paper.
D.O.E. Plumbing out of Laramie did the work. I highly recommend them. They were courteous, fast, on time and under budget.

On Day 18 of this project I photographed my treadmill space - www.flickr.com/photos/slgc/5367391428/in/set-721576255911... It was functional, but not much else.

Value added - as I took my camera downstairs to photograph today's subject, a Katy Perry video just happened to be playing on Vh1. I call Katy my Treadmill Girl - her videos helped me get through my Marathon training last year and I always run a little faster when her songs are playing. I enjoyed being able to include her in this shot :)
Feels like the rest of the house b/c the furnace keeps the air normal. Dad wants to make this an office. Door to outside plus a door to the kitchen are in the basement. Large.

this girl from my art class has a unfinishes basement and her parents said we can paint it... pretty sweet deal
This area is obviously a work in progress. I still need to finish furnishing it but my dilema is making this room a family room where we can come together to watch movies and hang out together without it constantly looking like a colossal mess with toys everywhere. I am also in desperate need of book "cubes" of some sort to hand on the wall at the kids height so they can read down here as well. I want to encourage all of their interests, music, art etc. and still have a cohesive design.
