Mocănița Brad - Crișcior
A 764 159 pályaszámú gőzmozdony zakatol nagy füsttel a szerelvényével Kristyor közelében. A 7 km hosszú Brád-Kristyor (Brad-Criscior) vonalon. Ezt a vonalat 1907-ben építették szénszállítás céljából, és 1998-ig használták rendeltetés szerűen. 2001 óta a vonal turisztikai forgalmat bonyolít, nyáron gőzmozdonyos nosztalgiavonatok közlekednek.

Die Esperstedter Störche sind 2016 sehr zeitig aus dem Winterquartier zurück gekommen.
Der Weißstorch (Ciconia ciconia) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Störche (Ciconiidae). Weißstörche sind etwa 80 bis 100 cm lang und haben eine Flügelspannweite von etwa 200 bis 220 cm. Da die Stimme des Weißstorchs nur schwach ausgeprägt ist, verständigt er sich durch Klappern mit dem Schnabel. Deshalb wird er auch Klapperstorch genannt. Der Weißstorch, der ein Alter von über 35 Jahren erreichen kann, nistet auf Felsvorsprüngen, Bäumen, Gebäuden und Strommasten.

Adults have long red legs and long pointed red beaks, and measure on average 100–115 cm (39–45 in) from beak tip to end of tail, with a 155–215 cm (61–85 in) wingspan.

FIRMLY TAKING COURSE towards Beneden Merwede. Behind the Undine V ship is Merwelanden island that wedges into Boven Merwede to make the significant bifurcation. To the left is the left river branch that from that point on gets the name "Nieuwe Merwede". Far right is the "village" Boven Hardinxveld which overlooks shipyards in Werkendan on the other side, and the tip of the island that divides the river. Merwede is the largest and busiest branch of Rhein river in the delta which it forms upon entering the Netherlands from Germany.
It's difficult to recreate the elusive moments of dusk at the river just before and after the sunset. The editing software suggests pushing the levels and contrast as if it were broad daylight, and you have to resist the temptation. I am quite satisfied however how it turned out here, but I did spend a lot of time with sliders and curves. This is taken a short minute after the previous capture, thus exactly 10 minutes before the true sunset at 301°☼.

ON THEIR WAY to Beneden Merwede from Boven Merwede. I wonder if the crew here (we see three people standing on the command bridge) bothered to turn their heads right and spot the magnificent sunset. This is taken exactly 11 minutes before the center of the sun reaches the ideal horizon, which is also known as (true) astronomical sunset. Remarkable is the reddish reflection in the sky above coming from the low sun setting behind my back at ☼301°.
