Slowly going through my Chiditarod photos from yesterday because, unfortunately, I'm feeling a little under the weather (and this time, the weather is like a big black cloud) but I think this is a good starting point. For those unaware, Chiditarod is this beautiful insane crazy Chicago event that happens once a year and raises money to feed the poor in the city through The Greater Food Depository and raised over $50,000 this year. People dress up in all kinds of ways celebrating aspects of current and previous pop culture and race to different checkpoints around Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village...it's sort of like Halloween in the day time only for charity.

Thank’s all for your faves, awards and comments.

Excellent Scandinavian style. Everyone has the space for a great modest trolley. Intricate dovetail drawer with great angular design on casters.

Visually, a bona fide steel boot kick in the ass. I love great geometry in architecture, nature, photography and especially in design. 32 inches wide x 18 inches dep x 30 inches tall.

1960s dollhouse furniture

GONE--BUT ABOUT TO MAKE A RE-APPEARANCE: This cart is based on an old French bakery rack, just as its larger sister is, but the small size means this is great for many uses. Side table in the living room, bedside table--bar cart. Everyone needs a bar cart! Non drinkers can muddle mint and lime and demerara sugar and mix it with Schweppes soda water. No, really. Really!

Width 61cm, depth 41cm, height 64cm

Don't forget to follow me via Instagram --k2modern. I'm blowing up the feed with truly insane vintage design, killer shots of Chicago architecture, and some utterly sick ruin porn, one of my all time truest passions. After this many years of bringing it in a monster way, you already know I do things a lot differently, right?

GONE--Lemons not included. Well, actually, we could probably be persuaded to give you the lemons as well.

**UPDATE*** Sabah has added by little buddy to her family of Danes. Now she needs to name him!

Brass joinery

Gallery wall was created to hide the potential eyesore of the television. Painted vintage sideboard (eBay £30) and vintage bar cart (eBay £30!). Large canvas above barcart I painted myself. Floors need refinishing! More here: www.swoonworthy.co.uk

This bar cart doubles up as a mini kitchen island in this customer's industrial-inspired home.

GONE--This is what the view will be like as you crawl across the kitchen floor to the nespresso machine.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - Do you want to be able to bring the party wherever you need to, even the bomb shelter? (Impromptu Martini party/emergency drill, everybody!!)

This mobile bar-cart is the cutest! Well, and sexy. It's meant to allow you to move the party hither and yon as needed. In truth it would make an amazing mobile kitchen island, too!

Length 83cm, depth 44cm, height 80cm

Though the railing may come across as black, it is an fact a beautiful raw steel. The curves really will keep things in place, though we don't recommend loading the thing down with Veuve Clicquot and then racing around the flat.

GONE--Our industrial mobile bar cart isn't limited to alcoholic beverages! If you have a small kitchen and couldn't spare the space/money for a built-in, dedicated kitchen island, then this bar cart might be for you. It's got both a drawer and a hidden storage area. As long as one side is by the wall it can play host to your various life-sustaining machines...

Width 80cm, depth 40cm, height 90cm

***UPDATE*** Larry nabbed this one for his expanding practice. This is a perfect choice to build a room around.

GONE - Unlike the rosewood bar in the preceding shots, this bar's whole front drops down. When you open it, a light goes on inside. So. Amazing. 80cmx45cm, height 81cm

GONE - The faux-vintage sign reads "Free Beer--Tomorrow." Like That One breaks the mold; we often offer free beer today! Surprisingly few customers take us up on it--maybe they are afraid to face the vagaries of the PIE with a buzz on (certainly we don't encourage drunk driving!) I don't know; perhaps for the passengers it might help one cultivate the right attitude of relaxed acceptance. Plant pruning in lane 4 AND road widening works AND veh breakdown before the BKE? Whatever, man.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - We've got some one-off pieces in the store now that channel a low-key industrial vibe, like the mobile wine/bar cart Cheu is drinking from. You can move it when you entertain, or place it near the kitchen and use the top as an extra work surface. The wire section will hold your wine bottles tilted downwards as is recommended, the drawer will hold the tools of the trade, and the cupboard has space for upright bottles. Practical and cute.

Length 85.5cm, width 40.5cm, height 88.5cm

GONE - The top is easy-to-clean formica; the rest is wood and lovely copper, as on the handle, lower rails, and caps of the legs.

Another thunder vignette with an expandable slat bench coffee table, McCobb Squirm chair, and vintage Asian bar cart with world map. Smoke em' if you got 'em.

Sloped arm with soft cushioned seat surround you in comfort. A rakish Tom Ford suit or vintage denim are equally perfect in this pair.

Impressive addition to my stable of pixies. Beautiful shape with vibrant cognac leather, rolled arms, and go-anywhere size.

The end of an era: where we started from to now.

Rolled arms with classic Chesterfield styling.

***UPDATE*** Welcome back Sam. Cheers!

Measurements 42 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 25 inches high. Expandable top open 59.5 inches long.

***UPDATE*** Welcome back Sam. Cheers!

Ridiculous set up here with expandable top for cocktailing, removable casters to move this one easily, and a lockable lower cabinet, so your two year old doesn't get hammered while you are in the shower. Excellent, excellent option.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - This is an incredible bar cart, with mint quality white laminate (original) and wood on the upper tier and wood only on the lower. The handles are tipped upward both for ergonomic reasons and to balance the splayed legs. The large wheels are original and are in great condition, and offer a contrast to the usual casters one sees on such a piece. All in all a unique find, original vintage from Europe, only available at Like That One. Let's get this party started!
