Well, this doll was one of my all time favorites ever since I purchased her years ago, I truly love her! The more I do with her, the worse her hair looks. As you all can see in the photo her hair is horrible, but I really want her restored, shes special to me. You cannot see the bald spots in the photo because I tried to cover them as best I could.
Well I am now seriously considering a reroot for her, I don't know if I should just stay with the classic blonde (not sure what shade yet, maybe the rerooter will have some suggestions, I think she would make a pretty redhead or even something crazy like blue), but I am looking around for the average cost to get her rerooted. I plan to start rerooting myself, but Joslyn (fashion fever skipper) is one of my favorites and I don't know if I would risk a whole reroot because I just do not want to mess her up :) although I do have a pack of red and Carmel Saran hair (only colors I could find). Perhaps I'll just do streaks? Eh, who knows...
If anyone is interested in rerooting her for me or has any suggestions please feel free to f.m. me or comment below (or message me on ipernity.com). I feel more comfortable sending her off to a fellow flickr/ipernity contact for a full reroot so if I do the streaks it will probably be a temporary fix to cover the bald spots.. Wish me luck :)

Livvi & Colt are two complete opposites. They both have completely opposite styles. Colt is a police officer. Livvi is an aspiring model and also a part of a girl group called "Digital Daggers". Livvi used to date Colts best friend David Crane (a high society player) and left him for Colt.
(Colt is not part of my collection, he belongs to a fellow collector)
Went to ToysRus to buy a Birthday present for a boy... Came back with Barbie dolls for me! There was a 3for2 on Barbie so how could I resist! I know I have a few Skipper dolls but I just love Skipper! I think her hair is pretty cute so I had to have her!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I remember thinking this set came with a lot of cool stuff as a kid. However, reassembling it all together for Flickr photos framed it in a different perspective. Honestly, what made this pack feel like it was inundated with extra fixings was the fact that it was sold with fabric tote. The tote had a bunch of designated compartments for the dolls and their accessories. In hindsight, the actual pieces that came with the pack were sort of lame. I mean the pizza is made from cardboard...why not plastic? The same goes with the CDs. It's not like Mattel didn't have CD and pizza molds. Would it really have made this set that much more costly to produce if these fixings had all been plastic? That being said, I do like the stuff that was included. I will never complain about doll food, cardboard or plastic. I do wonder why there was only one mug. It's very difficult to see what these dolls were originally sold with, so it's fortunate I remembered what I still had when piecing this photo together. That being said, I am apparently missing some cardboard accessories from what I can see. I don't even recall having the cardboard games I can see in stock/loose images. Colleen and I must have lost them early on, or they came damaged. The pajamas Skipper and Barbie wear coordinate with starry prints, but don't match (Skipper's are pictured separately). I always found Barbie's jammies super charming, and played with them all the time.

There are three photos with 3-4 models on each, this is their group, each week one model will be eliminated from each group until only four models are left then they will compete against each other.
Deedee: (First) Deedee is the youngest of all the girls auditioning for the role, she comes from a larger family that she was adopted into. Her adopted family She never thought she would be competing as a model in anything, she is very humbled by her experiences on the show. She loves everything pink and loves to get all glammed up for the cameras. Deedee is the true girly girl of the show.
Kitsie: (Middle)Kitsie comes from a family of three, her real name is Kitamaria but she has chosen to use her nickname as her model surname. She is a genuine latina, her mother Catarina once pursued modeling. Kitsie is a fiery latina with top notch style, she loves meeting celebrities because she knows one day she will be one! Kitsie is the true latina queen!
Brita:(Last) Brita is your typical irish beauty, who is anything but typical. She is the second youngest girl in the competition. She was discovered on a college campus, she once dreamed of going to Princeton after becoming a successful model, and she hopes winning this competition will help her achieve both. Brita, is the true Irish beauty!
There will be an "after" photo of these dolls all cleaned up and restyled :)
I found all these (Plus one blonde army ken not pictured, gave him as a gift to a collector friend), for 2.50 each!! I was sooo happy, I needed to update my ken collection a little!
I found so many generation girl dolls, I haven't had any yet and now I have alot of the ones that I wanted! :D

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This gal was one of the last Barbies I remember getting as a kid. I know that I did still occasionally buy dolls around 2004/2005, but not nearly as frequently as I did prior to that. My main focus in those later years was on Mary-Kate and Ashley/American Girls. Anyways, Colleen actually picked out this set. It featured a very adorable Skipper, who she named Marta (who I later renamed Zoey). Skipper was clearly the highlight of the pack. Not only was she less produced in the early 2000s, but she was also the cuter doll by far. That's not to say that this Barbie isn't pretty...she's just fairly standard for her time. I don't recall playing with her much, but I did think she was quite attractive. I even named her, which wasn't something I did as much in that time. I decided to dub her "Star" because of the starry print of her pajamas. Some of my childhood doll names were forgotten with time, but I still recalled hers, even after a five year hiatus. Since I was older when we bought this set, and since she wasn't a fave, she preserved almost perfectly. She looks as fresh and mint as she did in 2003. As an adult collector, I appreciate Star even more. This set is super awesome, but wasn't easy to find even back in 2003. I'd LOVE to find the African American version someday...although that is unlikely.
