57310 heads 3Q41 5:35 Shieldmuir-Willesden, seen at my least favourte local spot, Barby Nortoft. This shot was not planned at all. I had decided to try a spot just to the north, but I was surprised by the tree growth since my last visit, and the shot was totally off. By the time I got back to my car, I had limited options, especially bearing in mind that this working is often 15-20 minutes early at Rugby. Without any trek across fields or down lanes involved, Cathiron was the only option to the north, but with the clouds coming in, decided to go south. Again, I only had one option with the time available which was here. Still, nice to get something in the sun, and at least slightly different to my last photo of the working here.
15 years ago today, and a visit to Barby Nortoft, a location that is now useless for Southbound shots. In this previously unpublished photo, we see 66428 nearing journeys end with 4M34 Coatbridge-Crick. 10th October 2008.
A scene at the village of Barby, Northamptonshire. I had just missed a bus in this lovely light with an ideal sky....... But to be fair, I wasn`t expecting it. It just passed when I was walking from the shop towards the football pitch. I may have to set up the shot same time next week!
The NMT is seen heading north on the mainline at Barby Nortoft woth 1Q27 Euston-Derby on the 28th of April 2009.

57601 'Windsor Castle' heads 1Z37 07:16 Manchester Victoria-Winchester, seen passing Barby Nortoft on the 22nd of November 2019. Not the best of spots these days, but I headed in this direction as the sky looked clear, but the clouds were moving in from behind fast. As I was walking back to the car after taking this shot, it was full dull and game over sun wise.
66957 passes Barby Nortoft with 4L99 9:52 Lawley St-Felixstowe on the 10th of December 2021. I think I have only visited for southbounds once since, which was in March of this year The shot is naff now until the winter, as the lineside bushes have greened up and partly block the leading part of the train, so only the northbound shot will be used, and even then as a last resort. A shame really, as this is a handy location being less than 10 minutes drive away.

Stagecoach 34626 (KX54 OPA) a Dennis Dart, heads down Barby Road, Braunston, on route 12 to Rugby.

The two on the right... Curvy with pink hair and Skipper face and the dark tone Ken (Hispanic/Black?) were the two that I wanted most from this wave. I found them today. I do like the two on the left also... especially the fashion on the petite red head. I decided to wait on the two on the left, but will likely eventually get them....

66618 at Barby Nortoft working 6H50 Willesden-Barrow Hill up sidings on the 14th of May 2020. I was close to deleting this, and it was not my desired composition either. Had I got the loco where I wanted it, it would have been half in shadow. This frame at least avoided that issue, and as I haven`t taken many by the lineside recently, I shall keep and upload..........
66723 passes Barby Nortoft, but unusually on the main line, rather than the Northampton loop. This is 4L22 Hams Hall-Felixstowe. 2nd December 2008.
