Although these very special cars enjoy the classic 1930's looks, they are not reproductions or copies of any other cars. By retaining the look of the 1930's they are timeless classics.

In 1986, Gerry Khouri began to build three special sports cars in his garage, one each for the three brothers, which led to the formation of the company. The name Bufori is an acronym that stands for B - Beautiful U - Unique F - Funtastic O - Original R - Romantic I - Irresistible.

The production facility in Kuala Lumpur has an installed capacity of 300 vehicles per year, and the company employs 108 skilled craftsmen. Each unit is built by hand using traditional techniques in a 25-step production process. The body of a Bufori is made out of carbon fibre and Kevlar composite material, which is light and ultra-strong. Every Bufori is made to order and can be customised according to the owner's wishes.

From the very onset, the special and distinct market advantage Bufori has and continues to enjoy is the fact that all of these cars were completely and totally hand crafted.

During its entire time in Australia, all Bufori vehicles were handcrafted to meet the extremely stringent Australian Design Rules (ADR's).

The result of this compliance was that Bufori cars were able to receive immediate acceptance in nearly every country into which they were exported and for seven consecutive years, Bufori was the only company producing vehicles in Australia to enjoy the prestige of being licensed by the Advance Australia Council to carry the 'Australian Made' logo.

In spite of the fact that the roots of this company were conceived in the dreams and joys of a simple hobby, both this extraordinary project have actually come to life as a genuine full time business venture. Employing scores of highly qualified and experienced craftsmen, training new people to become supreme tradesmen and creating new technologies and models, all Bufori vehicles are now destined to become even more sought after by an ever increasing number of Bufori owners around the world.

In March 1992 at an exhibition in Pulau Langkawi, former Prime Minister of Malaysia YM Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed announced that he wanted Bufori Motor Car Company Pty. Ltd. to move to Malaysia and thus began a journey by placing Malaysia as a producer of high end quality vehicles on the international automotive industry.

With a team of brand new work force, Gerry together with his brothers' unceasing support, began producing and delivering the Bufori MKII, to local and overseas buyers.

Whilst producing the Bufori MKII roadster, Gerry and his team of talented craftsmen and engineers began development work on a new model, the Bufori La Joya.

The company has taken a quantum leap from where it started with its first model. The Bufori La Joya was designed, developed and produced with the best components and high quality materials and to international standards. This model was also designed and engineered for repeatability and ease of maintenance incorporating new technologies.

Today, more than two decades after the first Bufori was produced, the Khouri brothers have kept their facility in Malaysia. Housed under one roof, the Malaysian operations include a showroom, sales and distribution arm, production, as well as research and development facilities.

Barbie forever!

Her Birdhday is coming. Counting days. 60th Anniversary? When? Here is her famous incarnation, the iconic face, SUPERSTAR sculpt. I can't believe that this one is 42 years old. Superstar and #1 B. sculpts are still my fav Barbie faces. I like Millie, I like Mackie, but Superstar sculpt is the real "real" Barbie for me :)

Superstar Barbie dolls keep on shining!

Two sisters bought back in the 2009 and belonging to a little lot, called LOT OF THE 3 SUPERSTAR DOLLS, bought on ebay but items coming from a long storage. I still remember the smell when I opened the box

Barbie on the right wears outfit and boa she was wearing at the time.

I'm not a fan of this doll nor the design but because she's a collaboration with Pantone, which was so close to comfort back when I was designing apparel. She brings back so many memories. Pantone meant everything to me during that time. It was a guide for me to follow colours. The funny numbering they call them brings so much memories. It was very unfortunate that I got a heavily damaged box from a seller Amazon. Oh well I still love her even though shes like this

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the dirty dolls when they arrived. I only have some pictures of them after the bath. Here they are, "just arrived" and "now"
