I bought in France, I found she is pictured in a german booklet and in a french advertising, so she must have been really sold there.

In Italy we had a different edition, Barbie Prendisole, who wears same bikini, with a darker shade, and has no glasses and no bag.

She is made in Taiwan. I had her as a kid.

But in the italian booklet it's not pictured a Sun lovin' Barbie or a Barbie prendisole, really don't know why! Anyone has an italian Mattel's dealer catalogue?

I haven't got any english booklet, so I don't know about this country

The outfit is from "Barbie exclusive" series, for the italian market, early 80's.

In the advertising it appears with dark pink jacket or light blue jacket, never seen this last one in a real pic, though.

When I saw this sand jacket I was so happy, because it's another colour variation for this outfit.

It's the more elegant in my opinion.
