Theme Description: This theme is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Numbers are everywhere, and the same is true in dolly life. The only requirement for this theme is that you must include a doll and at least one number somewhere in your photo. Think buttons on telephones, price tags on sale items, and numbered street signs. Think scoreboards, arcade games, and, airports screens. The possibilities are infinite!

This photo: Elizabeth, trying to preoccupy herself with a little stress baking, is preparing to measure 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (her little spoons have numbers on them, as does her measuring cup, but they were sadly too tiny to be visible).

I gave Barbie’s living room a new look! Teal and brick walls for a mcm look. I’m still working on the fireplace. The furniture is The Barbie Go-Together set. ☺️

Eden can finally call the loft her home---just a few days before I have to pack it up! :)

After her day of crafting with Sabrina at the Crafty Rat, Elizabeth returns home with her purchases and begins decorating her tree. Ollie, Sabrina's dog, meanwhile, believes Elizabeth's Crafty Rat creation might make a good toy for him!

Elizabeth was very excited about a new opportunity at the Crafty Rat until she learned that her table partner who had also signed up to make totes was none other than Poppy.

Hello friends! I recently purchased Barbie’s Fashion Shop, which is my favorite of the Barbie vintage structures. It had water damage in certain spots, but otherwise it was in great condition. I’ve finally finished the restoration and couldn’t be happier! Pictured is my newest doll, the Silkstone Brownette Reproduction! She is wearing the vintage ‘Red Flare’ coat and hat from 1962. ☺️❤️

Oh, I miss Poppy's boutique. Here's a glimpse of her first fall season when she was open for business in November 2011. Chances are Elizabeth's jealousy dates back at least that far...

These beautiful vintage bowls were made using Pioneer Woman measuring spoons. I bought them at Walmart for $5.97.

Cut off the handle using a bandsaw or a coping saw. Sand the rough edge.

Elizabeth: "Yup, everybody's photostream has something going on tonight, from alien invasions to fights and café visits. What does Leslie have me do for the camera? Clean out my freezer."

This is just a nod to those inspiring me with their most recent photo stories! :)

Beatnik Poppy is at work in her boutique. Wearing As Tears Go By ensemble.

Yesterday was the first Sunday in Advent. Barbie put up the Christmas tree with her friends.

Eden didn't appreciate my sneaking into her loft to get a wider shot. She's holding her latest guilty pleasure, a book by novelist Jane Parker (available at Poppy's Petites @ etsy).

After all the opening acts and KDON trivia, The Suspects (mostly my sister, rata-tat-tat's band) finally take the stage at the Metro Arena.

All dolls are part of either my sister's (rata-tat-tat) or my collection. Also a big thanks to my sister who played a large part in creating the "arena." :)

70s style living at its finest.

Silvia and Bob get acquainted at Boolster's. Both arrived this summer and are trying to find where they fit in Metro Community.

Meanwhile, Paul continues to jam with himself against the wall while Poppy catches up with friends.

Maddy, owner of The Crafty Rat takes time to sort the new Christmas items, ready to replace the Fall decor in the background.

In this mini-story, we continue to see what Metro Community was up to during the holidays. Here we see a structure that hasn't been "operational" in several years: Penny Lane, Metro's only boutique.

While the commuter operated between the two rooms, Poppy sought President Bobby Richards' help setting up her store for a one-day shopping extravaganza by invitation only...

Rooms 1 and 2 haven't had a true shopping experience outside of packages delivered by Amazon or Walmart in years, so when Poppy called, they were very excited.

[Narrator's note: This was a true shopping experience for our "play" dolls. Other than using something for a photo portrait here or there, I have been holding these items back as new "stock" for my sister's dolls and mine to buy at Poppy's boutique.]

Fresh from the oven and decorated, Maddy shows her daughters, Katie & Bonnie, the gingerbread men.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We have been busy here. I'm sorry for my absence but will be trying to catch up shortly!

Metro Community friends and family across Rooms 1 and 2 were able to celebrate Christmas this year (I quarantined to spend the holiday with my family).

This photo: At the Magical Mansion, perennial roommate Marie Buzzle snapped the Daughtery Christmas portrait and Mona gifted granddaughter Cami with a new microwave to replace the very vintage one she has been using in her dorm room.

I found a Made to Move Barbie at the thrift shop for four dollars! Audrey Hepburn Barbie finally has the right body.

During Barbie's 45th Anniversary the Barbie Bulletin Board hosted a photo contest in which all the members voted for their favorite photos. The theme was "Pink". This was my interpretation of "Pink" and I won the contest that year :) This is a Susy Goose Vanity that I customized (pink and silver).

A recap of Elizabeth's day, when close friends stopped by to spend Christmas afternoon with her and daughter Tulley.
