I think I took my first ever flight when I was 20.
I bumped into a family from Singapore at Penang Airport.
Their kids looked like expert travelers and had this very cute Barbie backpacks cum trolley bags which they were flaunting with pride.
When did you take your first ever flight?
Leather is not an easy material to sew by hand. But I really wanted to make something of this little piece of green leather I had. I am pretty satisfied with the result and it was worth the time spent doing it. The little decoration on the front is an idea of my daughter, and this is hers :)

They are really not so easy to find, even though I live in the Country where they were sold
It was a set of three different leather bags, in three different but recurring shapes, in different colours.
These three bags are visible in Il Giornale di Barbie, where they were used as accessories in Barbie's photo novels. I found three boxed sets, from the same seller, probably fund of store.
I have already posted them some years ago.
The search is still going on, hoping to find some other colours.

Been making this bag AT LEAST for over a year, and I still wouldnt call it 100% done... I just finished the strap (one side crochet, then sewed a store bought strap onto it by hand), and now I still want to make a fabric lining on the inside... Plus figure how to attach the strap better (for now its just in some loops for show). I found the text "barbie" on Ribblr as a graph pattern with the grids, but then wanted something fun on the other side as well, so took the barbie logo to an editing software and made it into a good sized graph pattern.
Tätä laukkua on tehty ainakin yli vuosi, enkä kutsuisi sitä vieläkään 100% valmiiksi… Juuri sain hihnan tehtyä, ja nyt pitäis tehdä kankaasta vuori tuonne sisälle, ja keksiä miten kiinnittää lopullisesti tuo hihna. ”Barbie” tekstin löysin sellaisena graph ohjeena, ja sitten keksin että tuonne taaksehan pitää saada se logo. Muokkailin sitten sen photoshopissa tuollaiseksi graph ohjeeksi (yksi pikseli on yksi silmukka) ja tein sen mukaan!
