These Hoodoos took millions of years to form and stand 5 to 7 metres tall. Each hoodoo is a sandstone pillar resting on a thick base of shale that is capped by a large stone. Hoodoos are very fragile and can erode completely if their capstone is dislodged (in other words, no climbing allowed). The protected Hoodoos site is a guaranteed spot to see Hoodoos but smaller versions of these sandstone giants can be found all over the Badlands. Vlog Below!!
I was a bit surprised to see this 'masked' Pika. I didn't know there could be such an individual color difference in their fur. Males are called bucks and females are called does like rabbits. They are really small weighing in at about 6 oz. He certainly had his eyes on me.

*This is in no way a racial stereootype, but merely my interpretation of a Mexican from the Western Era.
Enjoy!

I was walking a path in Alton Baker Park when I came across this pair. They were not quick about leaving, instead were watching me closely. They probably were wondering what that strange creature with the third eye in front of its face (my camera) was! I moved on without telling them.

Today's story and sketch "by me" you see Clive Herpangi, a Gypsy Tiki Carver and owner of Palm Springs famous Bandito Tiki's, and Goat herder supplies on highway One Eleven, next to the 99 cent store.
Today Clive is doing what he does every Sunday when his store is
closed, he is here carving tiki's at his Indio date farm.
Clive finds he is selling more tikis at the store than goat supplies
the last few years, mostly because the goat herds were being chased off of
most of the 124 Palm Springs golf courses, which is a story for
another time, until then taa ta Rod
