Bald eagles, Alaska.USA
Bald eagle fishing, this was taken at Jakolofa Bay, Alaska. Light condition was cloudy, about ready to start snow, the water Was shadowed by the cliff makes water appear dark green. given the light condition, I had to crackup Iso to 2500 to keep exposure right and maintain higher shutter speed to freeze the action. Decided to go with 16x9 frame to show the action, reflection, and trail of water. I personally like to position of the wing tips curling upward, without covering the face of the eagle. hope you like it.
The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle, which occupies the same niche as the bald eagle in the Palearctic. Wikipedia
Bald eagles have been known to attack humans, but the injuries inflicted are hardly lethal. During mating seasons, bald eagles become much more territorial. As with any other bird of prey, it best to keep a safe distance from a bald eagle and to respect the bird's space.
