In case you're wondering, the chap hanging from the footplate is getting ready exchange the single line token with the signalman.
In some nice autumn conditions double chimney Jubilee Class locomotive LMS 45596 Bahamas heads The Christmas Cheshireman. This was on a RTC Steam Tour from Bristol to Chester via the Welsh Marches line captured through Onibury. 19/11/2022

Je ne veux pas en abuser, mais les Bahamas sont vraiment le décor de carte postale rêvé… enfin si on envoyait des cartes postales depuis l’ISS. Dans la Cupola, on se croirait dans un bateau à fond de verre quand vous avez l’eau bleue turquoise sous les pieds… mais à 400 km. Il y a quelques semaines, j’avais pris deux types de photos différentes de cette région du globe : une assez zoomée et l’autre au grand angle. Cette fois-ci, c’est un collage de nombreuses photos prises au zoom maximal, mon nouveau passe-temps du dimanche. Pour la reconstituer il m’a fallu de l’aide sur Terre : ça prend un certain temps et c’est assez gourmand en ressource informatique ! If we sent postcards from the Space Station, I would send a picture of the Bahamas. This is a third type of photography that requires processing on Earth (it uses a lot of computer memory to process all the pictures in image treatment software)! Two years ago today, in far less restricted times, my first sighting of a Green Jubilee since the early 1960s.not the best day for the light but another location off the list. When a return to the S+C is possible remains to be seen!

A wide-angle image deforms the subject matter slightly but otherwise it is impossible to get all the colours of the Bahamas into a single shot. Once the Cygnus spacecraft leaves it won't photobomb the shots anymore.

The end of Proxima nears, less than five weeks to go. So much work to do and not enough time fully appreciate the Bahamas blue. The current return date is 2 June, but like everything in spaceflight it can change.

Sun is going down in the Bahamas, sharkdiving is done in daytime. Felt good and enjoyed my time on the boat. These two people kept also good atmosphere.

Of all the beautiful things we see from space the Bahamas and their sea dunes with the amazing blue colours are one of the best. The many shades of blue are astounding and warrant a zoom on the underwater sand dunes that create them.
Les Bahamas, photographiées avant le départ du cargo Progress fin avril. Au rayon des merveilles vues depuis l’espace, cette région et ses eaux aux mille nuances de bleu occupent la première place - notamment les reflets irisés sculptés dans le sable et les algues par les marées. :emoji star eyes: Une photo au grand angle, ça déforme un peu, mais difficile de faire rentrer toutes les couleurs des Bahamas dans une seule fenêtre de la Cupola ! J’ai aussi utilisé un objectif plus conventionnel : à chacun sa photo préférée (les goûtes et les couleurs…)
