Said the secretary to the marabou. A matter of attitude. For me he looks a bit arrogant ;-)
The Marabou: flic.kr/p/2hB8RFF

The secretary (Sagittarius serpentarius) is a large species of birds of prey that inhabit large parts of the African continent south of the Sahara. He inhabits savannah landscapes and feeds mainly on large insects and small mammals, which he kills with long-legged kicks. But other small animals are among his prey. Among other things, he is also able to hunt poisonous snakes. The neck plumage is extended to a characteristic, long and sparse bonnet, possibly the name "secretary" goes back to this feature, as the feathers of the hood act like behind the ear inserted quills.

Lizzie on a bad day. Cold, windy and cloudy, no birds and Lizzie got a bit mad. I took some pictures and then we moved to a less windy place where she got a little calmer. Anyway, I like the picture and it really shows her temper.
Many thanks to everyone for your visits, comments and faves! Very much appreciated!
I gathered more little weeds than one page could handle so here they are, the second batch.
we went out to breakfast this morning and then to the PO to mail off the defunct Diana Instant.
I had lunch with my daughter and then home again.
so it was a quiet day..
no weeding
however, the bear showed up night before last at 11:05 pm, close to the time Boo goes out for her second pee.
we survived.
last night he showed up again at 9:45 pm, even closer yet to Boo's time out front. I warned Leon, and when I went out later I tippy toed out with the flashlight and rushed her in.
the culmination to a couple of bad days would be being eaten by the bear.

NO MORE WAR, PLEASE. NO MORE KILLINGS.
A bad day. The train from Crewe to London was late leaving for lack of a driver. We then got stuck near Wembley because of a power failure to the signal boxes in the area.We evenually got to London one and a half hours late. On the way back home, I got stuck in this. Oh, England! ;-)
Back in mid-May in Gulf Shores, Alabama and while hiking, our friend Brody spotted this Banded Water Snake consuming this frog. We marveled at this a phenomenon of Nature as we clicked away. It’s usually pretty rare to see something like this when having a camera in hand.
Then in his usual fashion of quick wit and his brilliant knack for his photograph captions…..ole Brody immediately blurted out what he’d use for his Flickr post of his photograph……
“The Frog Should've Worn His Snake Boots!”
Well....after that quip, it was pretty hard to hold the camera still for this shot…….but I think I managed to pull it off
Thanks for takin' a look !
Have a great Tuesday friends............
I don't know what's going on with this little Carolina Wren but he seems to be having quite a day. Maybe he just came from the birdbath out front or maybe he was mauled by a lion. Who's to know?
Mom has confiscated my bird eggs but how am I supposed to breed birds if I can't keep the eggs warm ? The weather is terrible, rainy, windy and cold. Sometimes the sun appears but as soon as you go out to surprise THE BIRDS it starts to rain again. For lunch I had a new food which was great. What wasn't great was that Cleo and Fynn wanted it too but got their special diet food instead. As it turned out this wasn't exactly the most peaceful lunch of my life and I almost can't believe that I managed to eat anything at all. And then my bed on the scratch post broke down when I jumped into it ! Mom laughed but I almost had a heart attack ! That has been my day so far, I wonder what will happen next ....
HMAM😊😊😍

This weeks Macro Mondays theme is Plugs and/or Jacks.
If ever any of your plugs look like this, it is a sure sign that you are having a bad day. Plugs, the male end of a connection, are designed to not allow power or signal to flow until inserted into a jack, or female connection. In the case of power cords, this is for user safety. Imagine if jacks were sticking out of your walls with the mains voltage flowing through them. I would imagine that the world population would be much lower, and house pets would not exist.
The design of power supply systems vary by country throughout the world. I have heard that the design used in the UK has proven to be the safest from a user standpoint. It should be stated that all systems when used correctly are very safe. Most systems have design standards that utilize safety factors many times the output capability of the supply. Case in point, these plugs are designed for a 120 volt system, and in this photo the are flowing 12,000 volts.
HMM.
Best viewed large.
Sometimes the system goes on the blink and the whole thing it turns out
Wrong
You might not make it back and you know that you could be well oh that
Strong
Well I'm not wrong
So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day

Today we had an important meeting, but didn't wake up.
They said it was cool, but I knew it wasn't at all. I went back to sleep and dreamt of the things I should have done, of the morning I had lost, the meeting missed, the words we didn't share.
Today I had planned to spend the afternoon doing other talks, but it's hard to talk on certain days, words just don't come out, your voice sounds fake, even tryed to rehearse my speech in front of the mirror, thing which I never do and should have never tryed, it killed the last crumbs of will I had to do this. I'll stay home instead.
Today my dear friend will leave town and who knows how many months will pass before we'll meet again. I miss her.
Today I found out I have a negative moon, didn't surprise me a bit.

Flip faffery in Photoshop again; some people will probably hate this shot but it's been a bad day today and I've heard some horrible comments aimed at me so I've decided to do as I please! Hate the Bunny!
