Mazzaro's Italian Market, in St. Petersburg, Florida is an amazing place filled with fine food, wines, and whimsey. There are a tiny fleet of brightly painted vintage Fiats. One of them has the vanity plate-- Bada Bing. Gotta love it.

At this stage, this installation (white PVC pipe and caulky/foamy stuff in between) seemed like it could be pretty much done. Cool effect, looks neat both from inside and outside the building - badabing, badaboom. Rumors began to circulate: "They're going to paint it black!" "How could they?!" As future photos will show, they did much more than paint the thing black, but the results were actually not as awful as we were predicting. I still like the simplicity of this one; the installations under Gabe's wing had a tendency to seem a bit additive. I haven't got anything really invested in simple "one thing does lots of work" concepts, but if nothing else they tend to win out on comparisons of budget.
One thing that's nice about the additive approach is that it has no hope of hiding beyond a "the script did it!" type approach: you're uanabashedly making conscious, sculptural design moves when you tack on additional fabric and so on. Potentially this gives much more ability to respond to how the thing is actually working out, and to go for the best effect (which is certainly the theme of all these things), rather than the one dictated by "the system."
Spent 8 hours at Disneyland yesterday and I've had my fill of children, lines, and the Tower of Terror for a very long time. I carried around my camera stuff all day just so at the end of the day I could get the fireworks in all their glory but they ended up not doing the show. I was standing on a perch above everybody next to the Walt Disney statue shaking my head about the fireworks but then I turned around and saw this sea of people with the giant Christmas tree and thought it was pretty neat. Badabing.
Went to Venice beach today and met a few a lot of characters. Now were off to Griffith park for sunset. Pictures will be up sometime later tonight. Thanks for looking.

Walking around one of Columbia, Maryland's four lakes--these guys were setting up the fireworks to be used on the Fourth of July. They came down from New York in a truck and a Cadillac. The Cadillac had this license plate. For those of you who don't watch or can't get HBO's Sopranos on cable tv or dvd--Bada Bing is the name of a "club" on the show.
twitter.com/Halley - I have a friend, Halley Suitt, who is quite a skilled sculpture artist. She took bits of Play-Doh and created what is likely the sexiest piece of wheat goo you've ever seen. Fun to play with, but not to eat (Play-Doh, not Halley).
The baby goats have decided that the feeder works better as a bed.
For anyone that has goats or sheep - these feeders work great because you can dump the feed through the cattle panel (or goat panel which you see here) from the outside of the animals' pen, so you don't have to go inside with them and get trampled!

A third anniversary starting on the 3rd day of the 3rd month, ain't it perfect ?
Loulou&co, Bubble, Razorblade Jacket, Hysteria, Sakide, Repulse, Zombie Suicide, Ancayi Furniture and ourselves will be displaying up to 3 new items for these special days !
It can be new, a recolor or a bargain. Items will be priced 33, 66 or 99L, depending on the designer choice.
Exclusive items are exclusive for the time of event, then, designers are free to resell it for a higher price in their mainstores.
But this is not it ! To thank our subscribers for having been so awesome at following us since so much time now, we decided to bring a special MINI HUNT to the sim. You'll have to look for sculpted 3 symbols, just as showing on the poster at the mainstore landing point !
There may be 3, 6 or 9 gifts. Who knows ?
