This was one of the best burgers that I have had in recent memory.
It was enjoyed outdoors on their upper deck, in the glorious, 91℉, October afternoon sun.

This was one of the best burgers that I have had in recent memory.
It was enjoyed outdoors on their upper deck, in the glorious, 91℉, October afternoon sun.
I assume this has been the case already in the States; but anyway, here in Canada, one can now get Wendy's Baconator with three beef patties instead of two (and obviously, extra bacon and cheese, too). And they've started using a thicker cut of bacon, which is good; they were skimping before, but no longer. And it's a better quality bacon than before, too, in terms of taste. It's all good! :)

What You Need
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce, divided
4 KRAFT Singles
4 hamburger buns
4 lettuce leaves
8 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, broken in half
Make It
HEAT grill to medium-high heat.
MIX meat and 2 Tbsp. steak sauce; shape into 8 (1/4-inch-thick) patties. Fold each Singles into quarters; place on 4 patties. Top with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal.
GRILL 5 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), placing buns, cut-sides down, on grill grate the last 2 min.
FILL buns with lettuce, burgers, remaining steak sauce and bacon.
New to Alameda so had to give them a try. Not the best burger one can get in town, although not awful, either. But the patty was way too dry for me and the BBQ sauce was all but nonexistent. The batter on the onion strings and the fried pickles is the same and it was quite salty. I like salty so the onion strings were fine for me but would be too much for many people. The salty pickles plus salty batter was over the top even for this salt-lover. I thought the Smashfries (with olive oil, rosemary and garlic) were REALLY good. I would go back for them.
Na een tweetal bezoekjes durfden we het aan: om customized burgers vragen bij Kwalitaria. Want er is een gewone burger, een Cheeseburger, een baconburger... Maar wat nou als je kaas en bacon wil? Kan dat? Ja, dat kan.
Dan krijg je een Kwalitariaburger (zie eerdere omschrijvingen) die simpelweg bijzonder goede waar is voor de prijsklasse waarin deze zich bevind, met kaas (niet hele spannende, maar beter dan die van McD/BK) en smaakvolle bacon (op de bakplaat gebakken, dus dat komt altijd helemaal goed). Voor de extra kaas hoef je het eigenlijk niet te doen, maar elke Kwalitaria burger wordt beter van bacon.

Yesterday was queens night in the Netherlands. Party all night to celebrate the queensday the day after. I went home early and ordered some roomservice Baconburger. It was very nice!
