I’ve uploaded the bulk of the photos that I took in Valencia with the Canon 5D Mk3 so I’m working on the stuff from the little G1X Mk2 now. This will generally be snapshots or quirkier stuff where it’s easier to fire away with the smaller camera. A lot of the photos from the G1 are just backups for the bigger camera – in case of disaster, I won’t be uploading those, I have a big problem choosing what to upload in any case and have uploaded a lot of similar shots already (as usual!) I will upload the better ones though, it’s only Flickr, it’s not costing anything and people don’t have to look. It’s been noticeable that each Valencia photo has had a similar number of views which is a sign that people are interested enough to keep looking. If I upload samey truck or landscape shots the views get progressively lower further down the stream. Sometimes I use the smaller camera because I’ve put the other in my backpack to give my wrist a rest ( carpal tunnel!) and I can’t be bothered getting it back out and I can keep the G1X in a pocket.

I’m not adding the Valencia trip essay – it’s in the Album intro.

Not exciting, except if your main drive goes bad, this thing can be a lifesaver.

It's an external disk drive reader. What's nice about it? Well, I by any old SATA disk and pop it into this thing. It handles 2.5 inch laptop drives as well as the 3.5 inch ones like the 320 gigabyte that you see here. It can connect with either USB 2.0 or eSATA.

I brought it with me to do on the fly backups of the daily photos I'll be taking. Really, I will be. Today was a travel day. There weren't too many good opportunities to take my Pentax K20D out of it's safe harbor. I did take a couple of photos with my camera phone, but I decided to use this instead.

Backup early and often. It's not a question of if, it's just a matter of when a data loss will occur.

The tanto blade is no longer my every-day-carry, but it's application for self-defense still warrants occasional use.

Have you deal with the data crashes because of the slow internet connection while using an application for Backup Outlook Emails? Get the Mail Backup X from www.mailbackupx.com which not only provide you the free version but also prompt you the messages on the half information arrivals to fix it. It will strike the server to fetch the whole information.
