As today is 21st October 2015, the date used in the film "Back to the future" 30 years ago, I thought I would post some more shots of the replica taken some years ago when the Delorean car club had a w/e visit here. The film was very successful more so than the Delorean car itself that had an ignomious end. All these 4 shots were seen on the old webshots.

1:24 model of the "Back to the Future" DeLorean car. Made by Welly's and bought in modelzone, but me being me: i wasn't happy with it. I re-did the paint job and also installed batteries and LEDs so that the headlights lit up.
Time to go back to the future as they say with the timeless DeLorian DMC-12. It's a shame that the production venture was such a fiasco, as the cars look great. They are still available from a factory in Texas, but RHD versions are almost as rare as hen's teeth.
Talk about going back to the future, these iconic cars are now being re-manufactured in Texas, USA. This is one of the very rare right-hand drive cars, bearing an SIJ Northern Ireland registration, of which only 16 were made out of a total production of 9,000. Around 6,500 examples of the car are thought to have survived.
I'm always feeling outta time! So Carpe Diem! Or Carpe Donut! And get to the fun stuff! You never know how much time you have, or what tomorrow brings! I know I've spent way too much time in crappy situations! But I have noticed that often times, awful circumstances push you into wonderful unexpected places! Or they at least teach you stuff about yourself & what you don't want! So, Happy Monday, Everyone! Enjoy your time - whatever time it may be! Hey! Does anyone know what this pic is from? (Old-timers) lol!

And the powers that be know that you are too kind & nice & loving, and would maybe give the guy a 2nd chance & the benefit of the doubt! The DeLorian was called the DMC-12 derived from DeLorian Motor Company 12-thousand dollars (the sale price). Only one model was produced, but various small changes were made during the 2-year production run (Jan 1981-Dec 1982). About 9000 were made, with only 16 in RHD form. These two are LHD.
The DeLorian had a 2.8 litre V6 engine mounted at the rear, driving the rear wheels. European versions of the engine, a Peugeot/Renault/Volvo unit, produced 150bhp, but for the US market it only output 130bhp, making performance disappointing, knocking almost 2 seconds off the car's potential 0-60 time of 8.8 seconds in European spec.
