Sometimes some leave their PC at home and go off grid to communicate & eat marsh-mellows at a campfire.
Our Daily Challenge ... back to basics.
Many people are turning back to old natural remedies using herbs. This one works really well healing cuts and scratches. I bought it when we visited the lavender farm on holidays. The image is a composite of today's shot and two lavender photos taken at the farm.

And yes guy's, thanks for playing to the camera, much appreciated!
Mostly a takeaway outlet for the adjoining fish restaurant, offering usual sandwich shop staples plus some other interesting stuff. However, it also has some tables for eating in, despite the name... Both closed in 2012, and the main site became Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack. This site turned into a vegetarian cafe called Kin. (Photo of breakfast.)

Even though i´v just moved 500 km north from Trondheim the light is noticeable different. With the 45mm the D700 almost could be labeled portable, compared to anything 4x5 it is too.

Plein Air
The counterpart to Al Fresco, outdoor upholstery Plein Air is woven from polyethylene and polyester with a double-beam construction to suggest the appearance of rattan, while providing increased wearability and affordability. Available in 7 colorways*, its classic twill pattern looks refined in the neutral shades Snow, Granite, and Sand, but also looks fresh in the blue shades of Morning Sky and Lagoon. 54” Plein Air is remarkably durable, passing 200,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek). It also has a polyester backing and antibacterial finish, making it the perfect pattern for any outdoor setting.

I used to love to take pictures like this in college with TMax 400...it would take me a week to develop and get to the stage I have managed in just 5 minutes with digital. I fought it at first, but now embrace the technology.
ODC-Back To Basics
I could have gone out to the bake shop and purchased an premade Tiramisu, but then it probably wouldn't have been sugar or gluten free. By using my basic recipe and my own ingredients I feel much better knowing that I'm controlling what is going into my food. This way we can enjoy it in good health. I'm going to make another one for my birthday at the end of the month. This is definitely my most favourite Italian dessert of all time!
Thanks Everyone, for all your kind comments and faves, I do appreciate them all.
Have A Terrifically Tiramisu Tuesday :)

We’ve all heard of rewilding as a form of ecological restoration with an emphasis on recreating an area’s natural uncultivated state. And that’s exactly what Janelle here wants to do - but with herself. She’s tired of all the unnatural modern conveniences, gizmos and gadgets and wants to take herself back to basics. It’s not a new concept but Janelle is taking it all very seriously. She’s purchased a small plot of land and is looking forward to foraging for her sustenance, sleeping under the stars and being fully in balance with nature.
Fast forward two years and Janelle is now living in a modern apartment in Knightsbridge after her book ‘Returning to my default settings’ went to the top of the charts and catapulted her to fame. She still doesn’t shave however and refuses to wear shoes. Old habits die hard.
‘Returning to my default settings’ is on an unwieldy bit of paper measuring 100 x 140cm and will look stunning once framed. She’s available to a good home so just drop us a line or she’ll be on our new website in due course (www.id-iom.com/).
Cheers

Sissel Blystad: «Fest» (2001). From the exhibition «Back to Basics» at Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium, Norway. May 10, 2014.
This was taken with a Praktika MTL 3, a Pentacon 50 mm and a Beroflex 135mm.
The film used:
Lomography Redscale XR 50 - 200 35mm
Lomography Color Negative 100 35mm
Very straight out of camera. Should you care for a closer look.
Admittedly, I've been all about strobism. I've lit everything I've taken since I can remember. I recently did a shoot with a very talented friend, and realized I don't do nearly enough natural light shooting. I'm going to work on that, because natural light shouldn't feel unnatural.
For the fan or two of the strobist stuff I shoot, don't worry, I'm still going to shoot that as well (can't seem to get away from it...the octabox even made it in the background.
And two and a half images in explore this week?? Thank you to everyone who made that possible!

A basic demonstration tile, done a while ago... Decided to post it anyway - to show what I've been up to those last days. Pokeroot, Hollibaugh, Emingle, Static, Florz, Queen's Crown.
I was trying to get my mom and a friend tangling :) Yeah, an attempt at teaching Zentangle :) somehow, I find it more difficult when it's family... Or is it just psychological? Like, moms are supposed to teach their kids, not otherwise :)

Any opinion about my cards, do they make sense or not?
