This is a shot of me while backpacking this last summer with a group of friends. I stopped here to just take a long good look at the trail behind me and the beautiful valley that stretches out for miles.
I was in the Sierras, about 2 valleys north of Yosemite Valley.

I carry a leather backpack with me daily like a businessman carries a briefcase.
This is a snap shot of the contents of my backpack. The contents will change depending on what's going on that day or week.
I needed a backpack to carry one camera, a couple of lenses, a tripod, laptop and some clothes. This I found was the perfect match.

Such as reflective fabric on the shoulder straps and other places on the pack, a sleek aerodynamic lid with a quick ratchet closure system, and improved ventilation of the back panel.
My favorite change, because I believe (and am willing to testify before a grand jury) that the designers snuck into my brain one night and took it from my cerebrum, can be found at the top of the shoulder straps. Like a good hiking backpack, two straps allow you to pull the top of the pack close to your shoulder blades. After adjustment, the extra strap material can be secured with velcro to the shoulder strap, so that they don’t flap in the breeze, thrumming the lower edge of your helmet for hours on end. Don’t ask me how I know this.
Fort Bragg with the weapons platform in backpack mode.
This is an unusual female action figure as it’s top-heavy at the back rather than the front.

Extras-
Play by Play is a Canadian company that manufactured Pokemon plush. They were unsuccessful in stores (for unknown reason!), so they were shipped all over the world as arcade prizes instead. They are official, but not licensed by Nintendo.
Hopefully that backpack contains his homework. I'm adding an assignment: look up ANARCHIST, Stephen Hawking. I do not think it means what you think it means.

It is for backpack company for a catalog.
It has been taken with Nikon D50, Nikkor 18-55, 2x Nikon SB-24.
Flash with umbrella was on tripod on the left and power was 1/4 ... perhaps 1/2. Other flash was on machine against ceiling. Desaturated background a and color eyes in Photoshop. Thanks for comments
One more backpack. This is the backpack I bought at the bookstore, along with a pile of books, the day I started grad school in 1981. It was my main small backpack until I bought my Dana Design daypack in the mid nineties. The zippers are nearly shot but other wise it has held up well over many years of travel.
