Photos from the 13th Human Race

I didn’t have any time, so just pulled out my flash and started to snap some shots from the ground and power lines be damned! Sometimes I got lucky like in this shot. (If you are wondering, I am using the D70’s commander mode to remotely trigger a flash that I placed on the ground next to me).

I had forgotten that my camera was set at ISO800 (argh). Lucky for me the D70 has a flash sync speed of 1/500 of a second or it would have been a total disaster.

I removed some of the annoyances (cones, signs, power lines) from the photo. I did a blend with the normal output because Adobe Camera RAW’s default settings blew out the highlights on the runners skin.

After that, I blended with a saturation to brightness digital filter to create a stylisting effect.

Photoshop Tutorial: How to Remove Background from Image

www.colorexpertsbd.com/clipping-path-services.html

For the background removal of a product (here, a car) from its image, clipping path is a widely used technique. It is done with Adobe Photoshop’s pen tool. The tutorial shows the background removal of a car from its image using a clipping path technique.

Taking some sport photos

Caitlin is filming a 10K race tomorrow near Google, so I thought I’d tag along and take some photos. Since I’m doing this informally, I thought I’d show you my light kit. I'm going to be using my bicycle to get to various destinations so I’m dropping the tripod and some of the other junk.

This is what my kit looks like closed. I wear the Crumpler bag on my right side and across my left shoulder. I then strap the D70 on my left shoulder. The UpStrap is actually set up to be most comfortable on my right shoulder, but it’ll still be grippy.

Yes, the little Crumpler is strapped onto the bigger crumpler using the belt loop. You can see what’s inside also.

NeatImage helped greatly with the noise, but I had to tone down the sharpening a lot. I burned out the background and then used CHLomo script to give it the effect I wanted. I had to tame it down a lot though because all the detail would be lost otherwise.

There are several methods to delete background in Photoshop. In this video I explained a simple easy to follow method that you can apply to simply remove background of your photos and can even add any other custom background to your photos.

In this video tutorial the main tools that we'll be using are quick selection tool, eraser and Polygonal Lasso Tool. With these 3 simple tools we'll be easily able to erase the background of our image.

Below are the few steps listed that you should follow:

1. Choose your Photo and drag it into photoshop

2. PRESS CTL +J for taking copy of photo

3. Select Quick selection tool

4. Select your photo or the are you want to keep

5. Remaining this adjust by polygonal lasso tool

6: Then go to refine edge and make the settings smooth = 20 and contrast = 40 then use brush for removing extra background

7. Resize your image accordingly and use eraser to remove extra backgrounds.

Photos from the 13th Human Race

I couldn’t make it to the part of the course I wanted. By the time I got lost, the 5K race leaders were headed my way!

I had forgotten that my camera was set at ISO800 (argh).

I removed some of the annoyances (cones, flags, buildings) from the photo. After this, I messed with the sunshine filter to add some contrast on the runners and then mixed in a cool and warm with the photo styler and color photo styler this created an old photo feel I wanted without the grain.
