Inveneo recently completed its first BATI training in Mirebalais, Haiti the week of March 18, 2011. Out of 80+ applicants, they graduated 11 BATI IT technicians who will be working on connecting Internet to those who need it most. There will be subsequent trainings in other provinces of the country covering 22 communities and all of the territories of Haiti. The second phase of the project consists of implementing the network backbone throughout the interior of the country.

The Bati Anfòmatik Teknisyen yo ak Inveneo (BATI) program builds connectivity through an entrepreneurial model that will reach and serve clients (schools, NGOs, enterprises and others) with cost effective Internet, through:

We hiked up this enormous rock and crossed over the top of the tunnel. I swear this is much higher when you're on top with your 3 year old. There were no fences or rails up there! Talk about sweaty palms.

Murti makers are busy for upcoming Puja. They uses straws to make the basic shape of Murti. Over this shape they'll use mud to build beautiful Murti.

The top of Hoye Crest on Backbone Mountain in Maryland. The Highpointers club added the mailbox, where they keep a log and certificates. Others have built a cairn to the right of the sign. I added a rock. My stick, which I bought in Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas, is leaning against it.

Just beyond this sign is the Monongalia National Forest.
