We have buzzards nesting in the trees at the bottom of the garden so I got a shot of them soaring around on a lovely sunny afternoon

She needs a new body. But for now she'll be up with Babs on the pink shelf.

Single RAW hand-held HDR image of the River Cam and The Backs taken from King's Bridge in Cambridge, England.

It was a fantastic day to go punting along the River Cam - in fact, the weather was so good that the River Cam was filled with fellow tourists and punters!

I love the thumb sized indentation on one side... As though it was held so often

I love the back of this, notice the way the photographer's name Mudd is coming out of the sea.

A long time coming with this one-this is the quilt back for my Munki in the Middle quilt I started almost 3 years ago with the help of the lovely [Bee]-autiful quilting bee ladies.

"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself." - Declaration of Arbroath, 1320.

i'm normally pretty good at remembering the names of the places i visited in south america, which is impressive for me as there were quite a lot and i have a shocking memory. however i completely forgot about this little town until i was flicking through some of the photos i took there. it was somewhere between manizales and medellin, although google maps reveals quite a few unfamiliar names in between, so i had to do a bit more detective work. another photo i'd taken had the sign instituto fco javier mejia, which i appended with the word colombia, googled and discovered a blog with familiar looking pictures. scanning the spanish text the name salamina stood out to me, so i returned to google maps, switched to street view and i was instantly taken back to the colourful houses, steep streets and beautiful surrounding countryside. the trip was based on a random recommendation in manizales, and while it may not have stuck in my memory as tightly as other colombian destinations, it was cute little town.

i did a little extending and cloning to get the framing i wanted on this one - here's the original

Instruction #07 “Be a sissy, shoot backs”

115/365

Right back at the beginning of January, one of the first of my project 365 photos was of a barn conversion project I was working on. The conversion is now almost complete, and the holiday cottages are booked through the summer season. I met the builders and the owners on site this morning, to agree details for handing over the keys.
