New Kid on the Block

There's a new boss rising in Midtown East, and it's called One Vanderbilt. With a height of 1401 feet it's the fourth highest building in New York City. Only One World Trade Center (1776ft) and the also still under construction Central Park Tower (1550ft) and Steinway Tower (1428ft) are higher.

That's only because the tip of the Empire State Building is officially an antenna and as such can't be counted with the building's height, though. Would that be allowed, then the iconic ESB would also be higher than One Vanderbilt.

While we were watching tele Baa wandered off by himself. We weren't worried because the door was closed so he couldn't get out and wander onto the road.

Next thing we knew he had found the secret biscuits and was helping himself!

well in places of Scotland, there are so many more sheep and lambs than people so I couldn't resist another lamb pic...such lovely and intelligent creatures...

After three days and two nights on board a small yacht in force 8 gales, I was rather delighted to be whisked off to the relative luxury of Ormidale House in Argyll (http://www.ormidalehouse.com/). After a decent night's sleep in a warm comfy bed, I was up early and out for a quiet ramble to see the sheep. They seemed to be far less bothered by the midges than me.

My friend Heather fell instantly in love with all the lambs and wanted to adopt one for a pet. Luckily she saw sense and didn't take one home, but she says she's going to become a vegetarian now that she's seen all the cute wee animals.

A quick iPhone shot of a very cute family in an adjoining field... near where we are staying in Cornwall.

HTT!

Baa . . the friendly sheep

The fluffy, woolly sheep gazes directly into the camera, its warm, friendly eyes inviting you into its world. The soft, luscious texture of its wool is like a comforting embrace, evoking feelings of warmth and tranquillity. This close-up portrait captures the gentle nature of the sheep, making it impossible not to feel a sense of calm and contentment.

As a collector of all things sheepy (long story!!) I was delighted to see these weird and wonderful sheep at a Tuscan farmhouse restaurant.

One of two demonstrator SD70ACE-T4 units on the CN works the mid train remote position on X199 at Gainford Alberta. The flashy yellow paint makes the units stand out in a fleet of black and red, although I'm not sure how effective the flashy paint will be on the order books.

These sheep were very obliging when I asked them to pose for their picture.
