Thank you for your comments & fav.!
For me the magic of Arches National Park is the contrast of the rock formations against the snow peaks of the LaSal mountain range. It never ceases to amaze me and fill me with awe. I'm blessed to live just an hour and a half away. This is a late afternoon shot which is the best time to photograph the mountain range at this time of the year.

The Nanpu Bridge (南浦大桥) has been the first bridge link crossing the Huangpu River (黄浦江) between Puxi and Pudong (*), opened for traffic in 1991. A cable-stayed bridge with a center span of 423m, ranking fourth longest such bridge in the world at the time of construction, as of 2024 it is only no. 57.
(*) Puxi 浦西 is the "old" Shanghai, west of the Huangpu River, Pudong 浦东 is the "new" Shanghai, east of the Huangpu River.
西 xī means "west" and 东 dōng means "east", the 浦 pu comes from the name of the river.
The Nanshi Power Plant (南市发电厂) is located in the south of Puxi, within the northern part of the EXPO 2010 site.
The 110 years old Nanshi Power Plant has been a major source for the city's pollution. Construction of a 165m tall chimney in 1985 did not help much, so in 1997 a gradual conversion from coal burning to gas burning began. In late 2007 the plant was finally decommissioned.
It shall become a major attraction of the EXPO 2010, it's 165m tall chimney shall be converted to a 201m tall observation tower called "Harmony Tower", also featuring a rather sensational rollercoaster-like slide ride wrapping around the tower downwards.
That rollercoaster ride was finally cancelled for safety reasons - instead the chimney was converted into the world's tallest functional thermometer (follow the link to see it "in action").
The production building of the plant became an EXPO "pavilion", themed to display environmental improvements under the general EXPO theme "Better City - Better Life".
Shot from the observation platform on top of the the Lupu Bridge arch.

Arches National Park, Utah. Tower arch has a span of 92 ft (28 meters) but is quite broad and has a deep floor reaching to the wall behind it. From that deep floor, a great view of the massive tower above on the left is available.

I just returned from Jackson Hole, WY where I conducted my 4 day photography workshop.
The dates for this workshop were July 6-9, with the hotel meet and greet on the early evening of July 5.
On three nights of the 4 day workshop, I conducted my Milky Way night sky photography workshop. The following day of each night of shooting the Milky Way, I held a 4 hour Photoshop and Lightroom post processing session using my latest processing techniques to help everyone bring out the best in their Milky Way photos.

Arches National Park, Utah The South Window is on left and the North Window is on the right. The overall view is referred to as the Spectacles. This view is unusual because the photo location is on the east side of the formation reached by a trail going around on the left from the usual view from the west side.

I recently returned from Jackson Hole, WY where I conducted my 4 day photography workshop along with 3 nights of my Milky Way night sky photography workshop..
An hour and a half before the fireworks began, photographer and workshop instructor Matt Suess met up with me at the Elk Refuge overlook deck just north of Jackson where we photographed the fireworks and at a later time after the fireworks were over I photographed the Milky Way over Snow King Mountain on the south side of town.
Here's my take of that night.

This is up on 16th Street just north of S Street NW. Caught this in the late afternoon light and loved the shadow play here. I would be very happy if I came home to this every day.

In March of 2018, I co-lead a Milky Way night sky photography workshop with a facebook friend of mine. After the workshop was over, I made the short easy hike to Delicate Arch with a few friends to shoot the arch for sunset before returning to Moab and heading out to Moab Brewery for dinner.

3 exposure HDR handheld. Processed with Paint Shop Pro X2 and Topaz Adjust. There were some birds flying around above the trees on the left. With the 3 exposures it appears to be more birds than there really were.
Arches National Park is home to the 'three monks' formation. (also known as Three Gossips, The Padres, The Bishops and apparently The Monarchs though I had not heard of that one ... I have seen them referred to as all of the others in various books ... to me the Three Monks is the most fitting due to the fact it looks like they have on robes) It really is gigantic as you can tell when viewing the panorama scene below. They are rather like the welcoming committee as you enter Arches.
