Lake Powell is a man-made reservoir on the Colorado River, straddling the border between Utah and Arizona, United States. Most of Lake Powell, along with Rainbow Bridge National Monument, is located in Utah. It is a major vacation spot visited by approximately two million people every year.

The small town of Superior, AZ is about 60 miles east of Phoenix. It was founded early in the last century as a result of huge nearby mining operations. Mining has reduced and the town has struggled as a result. These church buildings have changed hands a number of times.

A westbound UP automotive train overtakes a westbound intermodal train at Dragoon, AZ on March 28, 2018. Except for a short morning around Shawmut in 2007, this was my first time to shoot the Sunset Route. I wasn't disappointed and it can be safely said that I have been bitten by the bug.
