I was listening to this track Axis, by the Oh Sees, playing in the car driving to see the adders and thougt I'd love to have a go playing it. Somehow it ended up with me ordering another Electric Guitar :))) retail Therapy can be dangerous.
I had a great day yesterday exploring the waterfalls along the Nedd Fechan Valley. I spotted these beautiful swirls of foam in the foreground. The Axis is by Thee Oh Sees
It's hard to know why you choose to take what you take, but that's what's great about photography, we all take different things, On an afternoon of blue sky and full sun, reflections always attract me, and this pattern caught my eye. The Axis by Thee Oh Sees is as good a title as any, and are a new band for me, who are very good.

Le nom "chital" vient de l'hindi cītal, issu du sanskrit citrala voulant dire "avec des taches".

This is an axis "deer," not native to Central Texas. They are pushing out the native White Tail deer. The Axis were brought into Texas in the 1920s for hunting. Since then, they have grown to the point where year round hunting with no limits is allowed. They continue to grow in numbers and spread. They are beautiful aminals, very stunning to see. This photo was taken in the late evening, and hand held, so it is a little fuzzy. To help it out, I use a Topaz texture.

[It's really hard to shoot photos of these wary deer as they take off quickly so I'm going with this shot as it's the best I have right now.]

Like Lambourne, I have been fascinated by the Great Salt Lake even before I had ever seen it in person. In my piece, "Axis Access" I portray it's eternal presence with a visual timeline. It depicts not only the present day features of the lake but also reflects mans' past, present and possible future relationship with this inland sea. To symbolize this visual mix, I use pictoglyphs, the spiral jetty and digital mapping lines.
The central staircase of Goulandris Museum of Contemporary Art. It took me a while to realize that the brighter part of these charming stairs (recess) is not completely aligned with the opening.
