A prodigious group of artists, great challenges.
.
I first followed the tutorial of PIXIMPERFECT www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFxylWAAFSM
For the double exposure technique and used his picture material.
I learned I was the clumsiest human on earth and I kept deleting or modifying things without saving my progress and having to redo some steps repeatedly. The pleasing thing is by doing repetition, you actually memorize everything better. I also learn that the TAB button places everything full screen in photoshop and hides all your panels and because somehow I didn't know I panic a bit.
I typically work by intuition and handle everything until I get a result, this is why following a tutorial in stages was more painful lol. But was able to complete the task and was quite proud of the result.
I enjoy the project, but the result was at the end almost a copy conform from the tutorial, and I wanted to deconstruct it and produce something distinctive. Here is the result, a special Admin award for my Flickr group.

A little snuggling tune:
Patch awarded to a member of the British RAF in WWII. A Navigator was responsible for keeping the aircraft on course at all times. It required long periods of intense concentration for virtually the whole flight, which could be many hours.

I received this award in 1953 for winning the Northeastern Regional 50 meter small bore rifle championship.
A nice little acrylic cube with the inscription imbedded inside and I put it on an interesting foundation.
MACRO MONDAYS: Not to be! Just deleted it from the group. I just deleted it from the MACRO MONDAYS group. Sometimes things are too hard and just not worth it. Phew ....

This is the Monte Cassino Commemorative Cross awarded to my father. This medal was awarded to all Polish II Corps soldiers who fought in the battle of Monte Cassino in Italy during May 1944. The serial number on the reverse of this medal (14041) confirms he was in the 11th Signals Battalion. The medal was photographed suspended against a background sheet of brushed stainless steel. Several LED torch lights were used to create the colours and highlights.
Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!
Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

Searching for something suitable to photograph, I found this long forgotten prize rosette with a subtly pleasing texture/wear/patina (I think) that Katie got about 15 years ago at a Pony Club event.
Pony Club days seems a different us & a long forgotten time now! I was always so worried at the time about Katie and Ellen getting spinal injuries that I could never be fully supportive or enthusiastic as they might have liked. But I could never be fully negative at the time and say clearly how i felt (and it might have not worked out well if I had!)
...Anyway ...Everyone survived but I was very glad when it stopped.
Nowadays we still have our Geriatric pony, Ranger, now 34 or 35 years old (need to check his records) - He is the tangible, 3 buckets a day, connection between that time and now. Happy enough to do that penance now.

I know, choosing your favourite hunt gift, hunt or organizer can be a daunting task but rather than skipping the process altogether (because you're having a hard time making the choice) why not take the plunge and look back to see how many hunts gave you just the right amount of challenge, or which hunt gifts from the current year still have a place in your SL home or wardrobe.
You aren't required to fill out the whole ballot form, only the categories that you'd like to fill out. So even if you only did a couple of hunts this year (or only a couple of gifts met with your approval, that's ok). Go ahead and fill out a Hunties Award ballot anyway.
After all, the hunt organizers and stores that participate in the hunts that we all know and love put a lot of hard work into each year. Taking a moment to fill out a ballot will let them know you appreciate all they do and would be a great way to thank them for their efforts.
