While showing some visitors from Europe around where I live, we happened upon this Koala in a tree. Usually they are sleeping, but this one was wide awake and anxious to avoid our cameras.
They are only awake for a couple of hours each day so it is a bonus to get them with their eyes open

I am continuing my owl theme with this eastern screech owl ( Gray morph). Usually when I see screech owls, they are fast asleep. This owl was wide awake, watching the other birds and interested in something in the far distance. I was super excited to see one awake in nice light :-).

Started out as just a normal saturday morning's shopping trip but the more I waved my mobile around trying out some pano-vision/sabotage/tumble world moves the stranger it got .....seems shopping is never going to be the same again...!

I took some pictures of the setting sun during my evening walk with my dog. Most of them were not really worth keeping, so I started to remove them, until I looked at the last one. I was caught be the mix of the dark, blurry sky and the very detailed silhouettes of the trees in the background and the beautiful green corn in front of the picture.

No not a real dragon but it looks a bit like one to me. It is in fact the wreck of the Helvetia ship on Rhossili Beach. The ship was wrecked in a storm in 1887.

When Sethi is at home he is usually fast asleep or he is at least very tired and can hardly keep his eyes open. This was one of the rare moments when he was wide awake, probably because I had fed him and he was ready for new adventures in the big outdoors.
