Ray-Ban aviators with dual-toned reflective lenses—green on the left, orange on the right—capture a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes, hinting at a window or light source beyond. The iconic logo rests subtly on the right lens, anchoring the image in timeless style. A study in symmetry, contrast, and the art of seeing.

Nothing beats a good pair of Aviators in a street photo!

Today was good. Went to tech, painted some and all that jazz and then went to my friend Garrett's piano and voice recital and that was lots of fun! :D

I realised that I hadn't done just a straight B&W conversion of the wonderful Aviator Hotel, to show off the lines and contours of the amazing interior. So here's three to start with.

An Enviro 400 heads into the sun on the A591 with a Kendal bound 555 from Keswick and is snapped shortly after commencement of its journey at Stybeck Farm.

Plenty of activity in the skies around here on this day with Hawks & Typhoons prominent.

A small insect that hung onto the office window for a while. as usual, it's lost a couple of legs.. not sure that's important when you have such impressive wings!

I do have shots of it with the sky behind; but they're taken at an angle and so not as detailed.

It is particularly timely to remember Hazel Ying Lee when Asian Americans have been recently attacked in the streets of American cities.

Hazel Ying Lee was born in Portland, Oregon in 1912. She was a pioneer American Aviator, who died while in service during World War II. She was the first Chinese American woman to fly for the US military.

Hazel was 1 of 1,074 American women aviators who flew as part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots program, commandered by General "Hap" Arnold.

The picture is of Hazel at the Portland Flying club, 1932, in front of her biplane. Photograph was taken by Hazel's wonderful sister, Frances Tong, a close friend.

The PBS Documentary "A Brief Flight" is about Hazel and her "female flying buddies" who flew for our country during World

War II.

The New York Times did a major story about Hazel as part of their "Overlooked" feature.

Please pass Hazel's story on as one way of honoring this courageous woman who died for her country.
