Event Details for: Bullish MACD
The MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) plots the difference between a shorter-term (12-bar) and a longer-term (26-bar) exponential moving average (EMA). Bullish and bearish events are generated respectively as the MACD fluctuates above and below zero to indicate whether prices in the shorter term are stronger or weaker than the longer term average. A 9-period EMA of the MACD is overlayed as a "signal line" which smooths out the MACD to provide a clearer view of whether it's moving upward or downward. A bullish event is generated when the MACD crosses above the signal line, showing that the current MACD is actually higher than its average, a sign of increasing strength for the price. The opposite is true for bearish events which signal decreasing strength in price as the MACD crosses below the signal line showing that it's now below average.

February ice extent low in Barents Sea, high in the Bering Sea
As in January, sea ice extent in February was low on the Atlantic side of the Arctic, but unusually high on the Pacific side of the Arctic, remaining lower than average overall. At the end of the month, ice extent rose sharply, as winds changed and started spreading out the ice cover.
Sea ice extent in late winter can go up and down very quickly, getting pushed together or dispersed by strong winds. Ice extent usually reaches its annual maximum sometime in late February or March, but the exact date varies widely from year to year.
February 2012 compared to past years
Arctic sea ice extent for February 2012 was the fifth lowest in the satellite record. Including the year 2012, the linear rate of decline for February ice extent over the satellite record is 3.0% per decade. Based on the satellite record, through 2003, average February ice extent had never been lower than 15 million square kilometers (5.79 million square miles). February ice extent has not exceeded that mark eight out of the nine years since 2003.

I took 73 pictures of the metro train door from inside and out of the train, and averaged them together. You can see the black outline of the door, and all the people are blurred together.
i was in psych 101 and my teacher was talking about bell curves and distributions of intelligence and i was hit with the absolute realization that i am quite average. all my life i believed that maybe i was on the outside of average; that maybe, just maybe, i was smarter and more unique and secretly intelligent, though i didn’t outwardly show it. but the stark reality is that i am average. average at school, at art, at music, at communicating, at all the things i love.
it was very humbling.
this photo exemplifies how i feel; how i thought i was is skewed and stretched into who i really am. an average photo, with average quality, taken by an average individual.
or maybe it’s just that i’ve been feeling particularly blue lately.
