The "former Air Force One Aero Commander" refers to the Aero Commander L-26/U-4B, nicknamed "Ike's Bird," which was used by President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1956 to 1961. It was the smallest aircraft to serve as Air Force One and was known for the blue-and-white paint scheme that is still used today. After its presidential service, it was transferred to the Civil Air Patrol before being sold in 1981 to be parted out.

Lifting up from the field by one of the hotels behind my house. You can see people ino the parking lot of the apartments watching in pure amazement.
In my opinion, the best looking livery applied to the littlest lawn dart. Seen arriving Milwaukee, WI on July 5, 2011.

The daily MD-11 we get from FedEx is usually a night owl. Today, it was an early bird. Arriving at 9:42am from Hawaii. The MD11/DC10/MD10 is one of my all time favorite airplane designs. They are very, VERY photogenic airplanes!
