Another trip out at the beginning of April to the Cotswolds to try and see the Barn Owl.
The Barn Owl came within 80 meters on what was to be the best view of it.
It then crossed into another field and off into the distance and disappeared out of sight.
After another long wait it was time to go home.

Being a aircraft geek aircraft photos where my first uploading to Flickr & all my photostream was just aircraft. I began to look at other photostreams & the dormant artistic gene hidden in my head switched on, doors, windows, walls & coffee cups caught my eye in a different way.

You can see the devastating effects of the fire that consummed the station buildings on Platform one at Troon on the 17 July. This included the unstaffed ticket office, hairdressers and kiosk. 56302 is running over an hour early with the returing empty avaition fuel tanks from Prestwick BP.Oil to Grangemouth Ineos.

Wattisham airfield was opened in 1939 and used by the RAF as a Bomber base flying Bristol Blenheim Bombers in 1942 it was handed over to the USAAF for the rest of WWII and P-38 Lightning’s and the P-51 Mustang’s use to fly from the base
After WWII the base was handed back to the RAF and other aircraft to have been stationed at Wattisham include Meteors, Hawker Hunters including the Black Arrows formation team, English Electric Lightnings, Gloster Javelin and the McDonnell Douglas Phantoms In 1993 the base was handed over to the Army
