South Dakota has undoubtedly some stunning scenery! "The Wall" is the rim of the Badlands and it is nothing short of an epic experience to wake up to these views in the morning!
We arrived after dark, and I mean it is pitch dark there as there is no other light source than the bright stars in the sky. There are no fences or guideposts either, so you are on your own parking your car or RV, gravel road on one side and steep canyon on the other!
Our local pond very rarely passes a year when our resident pair of swans don't hatch a good clutch of eggs and proudly present a brood of cygnets to us all. The local community then have the privilege of watching them grow from tiny grey feather-balls to almost fully grown adults, and share the upbringing with food, care and protection. But when late winter gives way to Spring, when wings are strong and after all the noisy flight training has taken place from one side of the pond to the other, over one or two days the parents chase them and they 'fly the nest', never to return.
Then the Delph Pond cycle begins all over again...

Recently I was thinking about some kind of calendar🤔 well not some but precisely about oldfashin workshop calendar with really nice pic or pictures. But I'm not sure if it's a good idea😐And if it's worth to do it?
Who uses traditional calendars today❔Who would have the place to hang one with tempting photos❔
A hold up on the A1 meant we took a detour on the way back home today; which gave me the opportunity to drive through Clumber and enjoy some emerging autumn colour. The journey might have been 30 minutes longer but silver linings eh ...
An extraordinary night at Elan Valley, where nature delivered one of the most powerful aurora displays I've ever witnessed. The sky lit up in vivid reds and greens, casting ethereal reflections across the calm reservoir. Autumn colors and mist added even more magic to the scene, creating a surreal landscape that's a true testament to the beauty of Wales.

Here’s a splash shot attempt for 2nd week’s theme of The Lightbulb Project! I haven’t tried it in my 9 years of photography before, so it seemed fun and easy in the morning, but you know what, it wasn’t! 😁 I made a huge mess in the middle of my man’s studio, my arms and floor covered in coffee and I failed miserably. Like “I took 100 photos and there were just 3 splashes and I put them together to make this” kind of miserably! ♀️ But still, I thought this little splashy mug will give you cozy autumn vibes featuring those beautiful leaves that I’ve been keeping for years in my journals. 🍂 Now that they completed their missions without getting any damage, they are back to their safe place. 📚
So which season is your favorite? I’m a summer person, I feel depressed in the winter, sometimes even in the fall. I will always prefer to take a cold shower in 40C if I had to choose. 😂 Tell me if you have any advice about how summer persons survive -10C. 😒
