A couple of days ago it was the autumn Equinox ... 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. I don't have a nice sunset photo for you, but perhaps this might do? I've been on a learning curve today - lots of difficulties, as 'life' dishes out to us all, but some success too - so I thought I'd upload another photo to celebrate !
Taken in Sutton Park 3 miles away from home. This is a vast urban park in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, England. Most of the park is a National Nature Reserve; large parts are also a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Its history goes back to the Anglo Saxon kings of Mercia, from their seat at Tamworth in the 9th century.

A year ago today, I woke to snow on trees still dressed in autumn color. There is no snow in today's forecast, only wind and rain on a day when most of our autumn color has already fallen to the ground.
My local park yesterday morning. Very cold rain soaked everything. Even the hardier dog walkers were looking miserable ! Marnie and I gave up after a while and began our walk home, when at last the sun peeped through and shone for about 3 minutes. Ducks, geese, moorhens and swans live on this pond, but not one of them was eager to come out yesterday. I've tried to make it all look a little less dismal in Topaz and PicMonkey, so I hope you like the finished result !

Not the horror film ! Autumn leaves I shot the other day over a canal bridge near home. The turning of the leaves is here at last, autumn has been slow to start in our warmer than average temperatures.
