Pacific Coast near the Fixby Creek Bridge at Big Sur

Stitched from two shots not intended for this purpose.

View of Half Dome from Sentinel Bridge over Merced River, Yosemite Valley, California

With Autumn approaching, I really miss the two days I spent wandering in the place Lincoln called "inviolable," the best way mother nature showcased her beauty.

...of my shiny ocean

When I close my eyes, you are on my mind

The seasons are changing with the chilly dry air and the thrashing winds you can feel around you, all reminders that the inevitable is upon us.

This is from last year at Potawatomi Woods, shot with my old 60D and 50mm F/1.4, stitched from multiple shots.

Birds Eye view of Yosemite Valley.

One year ago today, I was in Yosemite. How I miss her so!

一年前的今天在优胜美地流连忘返。已经出山了,回首一望,鸟撖仍如近看一样美。

The Merced River runs through Yosemite Valley and is responsible for many of my shock and awe reactions there :)

大海是我怀念的地方。在此观海听潮,渐入飘渺之境。

Grimes Glen. The trail actually goes about a third of the way up the falls.

Would you believe ... more fall color photography?

Of course you would ... it's MY photostream! :-)

Yosemite National Park is 125 years old. On October 1, 1890, President Benjamin Harrison signed legislation that created Yosemite National Park.

I can feel the calling of these majestic birds :)

Have a wonderful sunny October week !

View from my hotel room in downtown San Francisco during the business part of my trip last Autumn.

After a little map search, I think this is the 450 Sutter Building on Sutter Street.

I shot this from Grand Hyatt San Francisco on Sutter and Stockton.

By now you probably realized the blood moon picture I posted yesterday was a fake. I was playing with photoshop and had a lot of fun :) But this one is real!

The moon magically appeared in the sky after I took the shot of North Dome and Half Dome, proving dreams do come true :)

Just south of 17 Mile Drive is Carmel by the Sea, a lovely coastal town of pretty streets and shops. This is just one corner of this delightful place by Carmel Bay.

The essence of true beauty

Lingers in all-encompassing rainbows

Of your joy and laughter

You hold my hand and smile

As we ensconce ourselves in our world of fire

Our love is all there is

I touch your face

Your gentleness astounds me

I'm held in the honour of your love

Then overnight, the world turns sour

I had this place to myself and experienced this rush of ethereal feeling that I was truly one with nature.

Thank you for all your comments and visits, much appreciated.

Giant Sequoia trees are everywhere in Yosemite, creating a unique grand view of this magnificent place. All you have to do is look up

Foggy Fall morning in the Laurentians - Quebec

These seagulls were enjoying a cool autumn breeze by the Bay Bridge in San Francisco while I sang for them :)

Earlier I posted the same shot straight out of the camera and edited in my iPhone. Here is a version with some cleanup and gentle processing in Lightroom.

I did not have a tripod with me and this was taken with the camera sitting on top of a fence post by the water's edge.

Amanecer en domingo en un parque de Girona. En ese momento, los bancos estaban completamente vacíos ya que la gente aún estaba durmiendo.

Half Dome in midday sun.

Yosemite National Park, California

This mountain is a single piece of granite rock, and it's not even the biggest in Yosemite, but certainly the most famous.

My dream of scaling the Half Dome might be just a dream forever. But the inspiration from a dear Flickr friend (the punster master, you know who I am talking about) might just get me ever closer to coming out of the dream...

This is where I really want to be right now.

Shropshire Union Canal at Little Stanney Cheshire

Little Stanney is a suburban village and civil parish in Cheshire, England located on the Wirral Peninsula and is located between Chester and Ellesmere Port.

The village was originally part of the Stoak Parish in the Wirral Hundred. In 1894, Little Stanney became part of Chester Rural District. Part of the parish was transferred to the Municipal Borough of Ellesmere Port in 1967, the remainder becoming part of the City of Chester in 1974.

The parish contains one building included in the National Heritage List for England and designated by English Heritage as a listed building. This is Rake Hall, which originated as a country house in the 17th century, and was later converted into a public house and restaurant.
