The atmosphere of the late autumn and winter at the lake inspires me always again to catch some minimalistic moments for my Orange Season. This location is at the Lake Überlingen, a part of the Lake Constance. Yes, people are different, for me is was truly a wonderful atmosphere without people, motorboats, sailingboats, kayak-paddlers... Only one at the shore, me.
Happy weekend ahead and thanks for your visits, your faves and comments!

Hello Flickr friends,
Fortunately, I was not set to "autopilot", but concentrated on not making nonsense and composing photographically. Yes, and it should be a selfie too, but it's more a selfie of my nice jacket. How did you not find me yet? Just pay attention to the landing site ...! Thank you so much!
We are located in Meersburg at the Lake Constance. Because of the Corona Virus, the small town became a ghost town, but I have to admit that it is a very nice ghost town.
I even flew over the castle today. Wasn't a lord of the castle not a damsel either.
See you, see you tomorrow ...;)
Best wishes,
Yarin

A return of The Silly Series because life can get too serious sometimes : )
As you can see my knitting skills are at a minus zero level.
This was meant to be a scarf but looks more like a spaghetti junction. Which reminds me of being in awe of my late mother and other ladies who knit at the same time as watching television and chatting away to each other. With hands and needles going ten to the dozen and only the occasional glance down at their handy work they rarely missed a stitch. Such marveloues coordination come autopilot or what ever you call it .
Thanks for reading.
The best of the recent cloudless still mornings with just a hint of mist on the ship canal.
On autopilot. So much so that this is completely unedited apart from removing the dust spots.
Seems apt....

Klong Muang Mystery
No name, no power, No Wifi. Just you and the tides...
Kein Name, kein Strom, kein WLAN. Nur Du und die Gezeiten...
Käpt’n Blaubär erzählt:
„Also, Kinder… das war auf meiner 379. Thailand-Reise.
Captain Bluebear's Tale:
“Well, kids… this was during my 379th trip to Thailand.
I was lazily drifting along the coast of Klong Muang in my trusty nutshell ‘Wavebreaker IV’ when suddenly – she appeared:
The Nameless Island!
Tiny as a breakfast plate, barer than my old pillow, and with the charm of a coconut with eyes.
Of course I circled it three times. Maybe more.
Out of sheer curiosity. And because my autopilot was set to ‘nap.’
Some say you can walk over at low tide.
Others claim the island only exists if you stare too long at the sun.
But I… I saw more.
An adventure.
A photo op.
And a perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing.”
Thank you for your visit on the nameless island!
Danke für den Besuch auf der namenlosen Insel!

Previously unpublished shot captured in February 2018. I often not only wondered how you can walk around without looking but, more so, why you would want to. So much life being missed in person for the living of life through a tiny screen. Wishing you all a great weekend of photography - stay safe!
I don't see the autopilot or GPS anywhere! On the other hand, it DOES have a gunsight - I could do with one for my car ;-)
Taken at Old Warden - August 2022
the architecture is strict, the rhythm relentless. every beam, every panel, every fluorescent light – all pulling forward, forward, forward. he doesn’t fight it. he rolls along with his suitcase, eyes ahead, steps measured, mind elsewhere. this isn’t travel. this is routine wrapped in glass and symmetry. a visual echo of movement without meaning. the modern ritual of departure.
Tulipmania continues and my camera just shoots on autopilot whenever it approaches a tulipbed. You cannot get a bad shot in this season!
Light Bleed
This one popped in my head whilst driving round in the van today. The more I learn the routes, the more I can go into autopilot and daydream about lp. Happy days.
Below are the ingredients for this shot.
1 x knife clamped in position
1 x Yongnuo 560iv through the beauty dish above, 1 x Yongnuo 560iv on the floor with a snoot and teal gel.
Lens cap on, swap tripods, F16 set on the Pentacon 50mm and a focus change.
www.lightpaintingbrushes.com orange filter attachment blasted through a piece of card with a slice in and a chuff of vape.
Single long exposure light art with edits in Lightroom to the raw file.
They say that bumblebees can't fly... and yet they do, defying physics and the laws of nature... 😆 and I think they can fly because they, the bumblebees, they are nature's lazy bugs... 😅 watch a flying bumblebee and it looks like it's almost asleep when it flies, as if hanging by its wings completely unreal in the air, crooked and limp... 😄 and it's the totally relaxed attitude paired with a dreamlike autopilot that makes the impossible possible ...
... is there something we can perhaps learn from ???

I was driving recently to a local shopping area with my wife and noticed I took the wrong exit without even thinking about it. It is the same exit I take every morning to take Evie to daycare. My brain just said "I know this path, I will take over while he rambles on about what ever it is he is talking about."

First Flight 2.1981
Del. to 2.1981 to Cameroon Airlines TJ-CAB written-off
Cameroon Airlines flight 070 departed Douala for a flight to Paris via Yaoundé. The intermediate stop at Yaoundé was not made because of a severe delay (about five hours) in departure. The aircraft, named "Mont Cameroun", climbed to cruising level FL350. The en route portion of the flight was uneventful. During the approach and landing two passengers were allowed on the flight deck and occupied the jumpseats. The final approach to runway 09R at the Charles de Gaulle Airport was flown at a speed of 160 knots. Flaps were selected at 30deg, the gear was extended and autopilot disengaged. The airplane touched down at a speed of 151 knots. After touchdown the captain selected reverse thrust. He then noted that the speedbrakes had not activated automatically, so he disarmed the autobraking system. About 1700 m down the runway the plane went off the right side. The 747 ran across a drainage ditch, causing the nose gear to be torn off. It appeared that the number one engine reverser was not activated and the engine was operating at full power.

It’s turned a bit foggy since the day has gone on. Fortunately I know my way and can walk it on autopilot.
Human beings have autopilots when it comes to doing what you really want to do. And so I was able to continue making photos, albeit a bit slower than before. We were expecting a freight train to Samedan and decided to wait for it at Bever station. We also knew from yesterday's observations that the next train from Chur could be hauled by a mighty Ge6/6 II engine. Lucky we were, as in warm sunlight we saw number 707 of the aforementioned class enter the station.

MacroMondays My Daily Routine, most of which is so routine as to be bordering on autopilot, but what appeals to me most is my daily walk in nature (from which I never return empty-handed - much to my husband's consternation! - and the time I (really try to) spend in meditation and prayer, the latter for all those in my prayer jar. Yes YOU are in there! HMM
A rare art day with Mom this month! Eureka! She can go on autopilot, despite this wretched Alzheimer's disease.
Mom celebrated her 87th birthday on the 9th, so it was a rare treasure! I DID tell her she had wishes from ALL the Flickr friends and she was just elated! Said to give you ALL big Thank Yous, and she was very thrilled to have your thoughts! You guys are thought of ALL the way around the world to this little Alabama town!! :) :) :)
Mom & I had a great time painting these pumpkins! She is amazing- just goes on autopilot sometimes! How lucky I am to spend Art Day with her! :)
It feels like this year...I've been on Autopilot... the 2020 flight rating 0 Stars...would like a refund.

Welcome to your first day on the job. This is your very own autopilot ship where you will eat and sleep for the duration of your contact. To complete the onboarding process, you will want to check the instruction manual and sign into your ship's computer terminal.
We trust you will be a great asset to the company.
A fun little build I made based on another game I've been playing with my friends, Lethal Company. It's a game about landing on different moons to collect junk for the Company, trying to meet a certain quota every 3 days.
I included a bunch of references from the game in this vignette of the autopilot ship's interior, including:
- An employee in their orange suit
- Several scrap items, including a yield sign, a rubber ducky, red soda, and an egg beater
- The ship's computer terminal displaying the ship itself
- A sticky note from Sigurd
- The item charging station inset into the wall
- The hydraulic door lock system and outdoor camera

On Hoth, as the TIE Striker transport took off, TK-24/7 was overwhelmed with emotion. He was alone on the frozen planet. What a profound sensation it was, every single time.
This was a simple two week patrol mission with no disruptions, just routines. TK-24/7 would set his AT-ST walker on autopilot according to mission plan. Safe and comfortable inside the walker, as it slowly treaded forwards on the endless frigid plains of Hoth, TK-24/7 would read books. There were several in the briefcase he had with him. For TK-24/7 life didn’t get better than this.
Bliss!

on these flights, every day was spent looking outside the window..thankfully the Deuce had a kicka$$ autopilot!!
(probably one of the most scenic freight runs I've done-plus it was a daylight operation)
No real direction this evening due to hectic schedule so just got the camera out, went into autopilot and opened the shutter.
Rainbow paper lit with torch then outside my back door with my flash on its stand, full power @ 70mm about a foot behind my head. Cap off and closed the door then popped the flash. Liking the randomness here and the fact you can make stuff look cool with the addition of some rainbow paper.
This is number 331 of my 365.
