"Boba traverses the rooftops of Coruscant, closing in on his unfortunate prey. . ."
Thanks to my brother KnightOwl Photography for letting me borrow his Boba fig for this pic!
Immediately after I woke up on August 1st, I dashed to the computer to order an Exo-Suit. I managed to do so before they sold out, and was not disappointed with the set in the slightest.
This was just sort of an experiment with eerie lighting. I'm pretty pleased with the result.
I apologize for the lack of uploads lately! I've started school, so expect a lower quantity of photos for the next few months.
Hope you enjoyed!
My new cover photo! This is a revamp of this photo. I still think Legolas is a bit too bright, so I'll probably replace it later.
As you may have guessed, I love backlighting and silhouettes. I based this pic off of this promotional pic for The Fellowship of the Ring.
Hope you enjoyed!
Hi everyone! Sorry I'm posting this late, I didn't have time yesterday to get it up to Flickr. I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
It's Luke Skywalker in his '60 de Ville Coupe Landspeeder,
floating over the Boulevard du Centenaire.
The Ford wasn't with him that time
Based on this scene from the first trailer of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I thought that Gandalf's line "It is undoubtedly a trap." sounded quite a bit like Admiral Ackbar's infamous line "It's a trap!", so I decided to create a funny mashup image. Once I get Radagast, I'll post a movie-accurate version of this scene with the real Gandalf. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed!
Credit goes to my brother KnightOwl Photography for letting me borrow his Ackbar head.
I wanted to do a quick Denethor pic with an idea that I've had for a while, using Mrs. Scratchen-Post's hair. This was based upon this scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I hope that you enjoyed!
Playing around a bit more with Mrs. Scratchen-Post's hair, this time merged with Gandalf's beard for more accurate hair. Not too pleased with the background, but I still think it's okay.
Hope you enjoyed!
This picture was inspired by this behind-the-scenes shot from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I wanted to get the feel of the rivalry between dwarves and elves in this shot, plus I wanted an excuse to use my new Thanduil minifig :P
I hope you enjoyed!

Today marks ONE YEAR of Brotherhood Workshop's incredible LEGO animations. One year ago, an innocent Uruk-Hai named Jerry lost his life, beginning the epic War of the Ring - or so Brotherhood Workshop's animations say (;
This was just my little tribute to Jerry and the awesome crew at Brotherhood Workshop.
You can view their channel here!
Edit: Brotherhood Workshop shared this on their Facebook page!
Based upon the hilarious scene from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug where Gloin is interrogated about his locket by Legolas.
Hope you enjoyed!
Based on the scene from Return of the King . I'm not entirely satisfied with the result, so I may post a better version later.
Based on the last scene of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Hope you enjoyed!
Bilbo's excellent torso decal by lego3x11l
Yet another backlit corridor shot. I just love the way they look! Thanks to delgax for the inspiration and original idea and Timeless Photography2 for letting me borrow his Boba Fett minifig. I liked both the green version and the blue version, so I decided to upload them both! Which version do you like more?
I went to see The LEGO Movie this morning (pictured above is me in the theater), and it was fantastic and surprisingly better than I'd thought it'd be! The animation was very well done, I loved the way that it looked like stop-motion animation even though it's CGI. It was really neat to see some of my favorite themes (LOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman) come together in one film! The characters were very well cast and voiced, and there were so many great little touches and Easter Eggs! Towards the end, the film had a little "twist" that I wasn't expecting, but it worked very well in my opinion! My favorite character has to be Benny the 1980-something guy, it's a shame that we won't get him in physical form until later this year! While there were a few cheesy moments, the overall story and look of everything was far better than I'd expected walking into the theater. Also, the last scene was hilarious and spooky! Anyway, enough of my happy rambling, hope you enjoyed the photo! (;
Happy Independence Day, everyone!
I decided to take a trip to the Shire to see Gandalf's celebratory fireworks show. It was quite the spectacle!
Not too pleased with this photo, had another in mind but it didn't work out in time. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
This pic is based on what we have seen thus far of the Barrel Chase scene from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug . Unlike in the book, where the barrel-ride went peacefully down a slow river, it looks like Peter Jackson will be turning it into a fast-paced chase with both the orcs and the elves chasing the dwarves and Bilbo in their barrels down a rapid river. While this is definitely not accurate to the book, it looks like it will be awesome to watch! You can see some snippets of the scene in the trailer. The credit for the awesome Azog back decal goes to lego3x11l! Go check out his photostream!
Can you spot Gollum hiding somewhere in the picture?
Based upon this scene from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I was inspired by lego3x11l to change the official Azog minifig's coloration to more of a whitish look. I'm still not completely pleased with the turnout on this photo, and may end up posting a tweaked version sometime soon.
Hope you enjoyed!
Just a classic Batman shot. I'm pleased with the way the Bat-Signal turned out. Thanks to my brother KnightOwl Photography for letting me borrow his Batman torso! Hope you enjoyed!
Hi everyone!
So I realized the other day that I had uploaded 199 pictures total and 99 Tolkien-themed pictures. This meant that my next picture (if Tolkien-based) would bring both my total pics to 200 and my Middle-Earth ones to 100! I decided that I wanted to do something special for this 200th pic, to celebrate the occasion! I now present to you The Battle of the Hornburg , my 200th pic and 100th Tolkien-themed pic, starring many of YOU ! I'm afraid I couldn't include everyone due to lack of minifig parts or space, so if you aren't already in the photo, feel free to add yourself! Many thanks to Ultron32 for conceiving the original idea in his most recent Tag pic. 'Twas truly brilliant of you, Ultron32!
Note: As I didn't have all of the pieces to make you all, for some of you (Siercon & Coral, Oky - Space Ranger, [Stubbs], Julius No, Erathor Pridenar, & General JJ), I took your original sig-fig pics and put them into my photo. Thusly, I did not photograph the minifigs listed in parentheses above, so the original photo credits for those photos go to you guys!
Without further ado, TAGGED!

So I went to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on Thursday, and I loved it! It was much better than the first, it had a faster pace, some new settings, and SMAUG!!! While the filmed further lost accuracy to the book in this installment, I welcomed many of Peter Jackson's additions to the story, such as (*spoilers ahead!*) a romance between Thorin's nephew Kili and a new character, the Elven warrior Tauriel. I wish Beorn had gotten more screentime, he was such an intriguing character! The film also saw further development of the Necromancer subplot, with Gandalf investigating the tombs of the Názgul at the High Fells and later confronting Azog and the Necromancer himself at Dol Guldur. The spider sequence in Mirkwood was well done, and I loved the Barrel Chase scene! Bard was a neat character to see, and I also enjoyed Stephen Fry as the Master of Laketown. Perhaps my favorite part of the film was Smaug! He looked fantastic, and Benedict Cumberbatch's voice was spot-on! The fight scene at the end between the Dwarves and Smaug was a bit over the top, but it was still an entertaining bit. The movie left off on a cliffhanger, and now I have to wait a whole year to see the final installment, There and Back Again! Anyway, I thought the film was very well done and a huge improvement from the first!
I hope you enjoyed the above poster!
Note: I don't yet own the Necromancer minifig, so I applied LEGO's printing digitally onto a plain black minifig.
Credit goes to lego3x11l for creating the awesome Azog decals!
"Do you wish me a merry Christmas, or mean that it is a merry Christmas whether I want not; or that you feel merry on this Christmas; or that it is a Christmas to be merry on?"
Based off of this scene from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Based upon the scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
Just made this to commemorate my birthday today! Funnily enough, I share my birthday with J.R.R. Tolkien himself, the author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings! It's been a great day, feels good to be a year older!
Hope you enjoyed!
It snowed the other day, and I just had to take a few minifigs outside for some photos! In this one, Pippin is pursued by a snowball-wielding Merry!
Hope you enjoyed!
(This is an updated version of this image. I realized after uploading it that the skeleton was transparent, so here is a fixed image. Sorry about the confusion)
I missed the Agents of SHIELD pilot episode the other night, but just made this to celebrate it anyway! Torso decal by Roaglaan. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the face. Hope you enjoyed!
Based on the scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey . The awesome Azog decals are by lego3x11l. Go check out his photostream!
This is the third in a series of photos that I'm doing as a countdown to the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug . I was inspired by this still from the film.
I know that many people are posting protest pictures about the new Flickr look, and while I agree with them, I didn't want to post anything like that to my photostream, so just imagine that Azog's saying: *growl* "Jom't naki tli miw Flickr namjatory, amj ahhow tli piophi wlo ari trappij em et te opte aut!" *growl!*
(Translation from Orcish: "Don't make the new Flickr mandatory, and allow the people who are trapped in it to opt out!" )
Azog's torso and face decals are by lego3x11l
