Ecco, siamo appena usciti dalla Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, purtroppo all'interno della stessa è vietato fotografare... non molti quadri ma di altissimo livello, si spazia dai vedutisti veneziani del 700 ai futuristi fino ad arrivare ai francesi anni 50...quindi pagando il biglietto per la bella raccolta si può accedere liberamente alla pista, la sensazione che si prova camminando sulla superficie impermeabilizzata dai fogli di catrame è molto forte...senti che li si é fatta un pezzo di storia dell'automobile, a grandi linee l'anello dovrebbe misurare un po' più di un km...

[Pour résumer l’histoire :
La firme “Georges Irat” a racheté en 1921 le constructeur automobile “Majola” implanté à Chatou depuis 1911.
Elle y a produit des véhicules (de luxe et de sport) pendant huit ans, avant de déménager à Neuilly sur Seine, puis plus tard à Levallois…
Lorsqu’on s’intéresse à l’histoire de l’automobile, (J’ai eu ma période de passion !) on se rend compte que les marques artisanales automobiles, en France comme en Europe ou aux USA, étaient foisonnantes au début du vingtième siècle.
Mais peu d’entre elles ont survécu à la seconde guerre mondiale et à la croissance économique des années 60, qui a favorisé les grandes entreprises, davantage capables de répondre à une demande de très grande série, et à prix compétitif.
La firme “Georges Irat” a progressivement périclité, jusqu’à cesser toute activité en 1953.
Cent ans après 1921, il ne reste donc plus que deux constructeurs, devenus internationaux, mais encore un peu français : Renault S.A. et Stellantis (Peugeot-Citroën)
En attendant leur rachat irrémédiable par les Chinois, qui ne manqueront probablement pas de profiter de la frilosité automobile française à la mode…
Tous les autres constructeurs français sont désormais entrés au musée, pour n’en ressortir qu’occasionnellement, comme aujourd’hui, afin d’y mériter la vénération posthume, que l’on porte encore aussi périodiquement aux vieux acteurs d’Hollywood, et à leurs films rayés et en noir et blanc… ]
I've driven lots of Pontiacs throughout the years, although I don't recall driving this beauty before. Pontiac was a General Motors brand that went out of business in April of 2009. Kind of sad I think. I've enjoyed driving them over the years.

Spotted this potential location as I passed in daylight. Quick peek on Google maps showed me how to reach it, meaning the biggest challenge was beating the weather. Got the shot and just made it back to the car before a drenching.
