Closeup of the Designer Belle Doll's serial number stamp and Certificate of Authenticity.

Disney Princess Designer Belle Doll has the back of her gown opened up to reveal her serial (edition) number (1489 of 8000) stamped on her lower back. Of course, it matches the number printed on the doll's Certificate of Authenticity.

Unboxing the Belle LE 17'' Doll.

Belle inside the diorama, with the Certificate of Authenticity in front of her. She is still attached to the back and bottom of the diorama, and to the plastic spacer between her and the diorama.

Belle's elaborate packaging is same box within a box design as the other LE 17'' Disney Princesses. She is on a doll stand (hidden underneath her gown) and wired to a plastic and cardboard free standing diarama of the ballroom scene. That in turn is inside a clear plastic box, that forms the windows of the next level of heavy cardboard box. Finally, there is another heavy cardboard box that forms the lid over that, and protects the clear plastic box. This set of photos show the process of fully deboxing her.

My newly acquired Disney Store Limited Edition 17'' Belle Doll. She is a stunningly beautiful rendition of the character from the animated movie ''Beauty and the Beast.'' She comes in a collector's display box, dressed in her bejeweled golden ballroom gown. She is wearing long golden gloves that look like they are made of chain mail, and is holding a long stemmed red rose. She has great masses of long curly brown hair. She has rooted eyelashes that look like the antennae eyelashes of the Designer Belle. She has lovely hazel eyes, bright pink lips that form a charming smile. She is fully articulated, including movable hands.

The Certificate of Authenticity, inside pages, showing the Certificate text in eight different languages.

As with the other Disney Store 17'' Limited Edition dolls, Wedding Rapunzel comes in a beautiful and sturdy plastic and cardboard box within a box.

The Disney Store's Limited Edition 17'' Tangled Ever After Rapunzel Wedding Doll was available for pre-order online and instore on February 21, 2012. This doll was pre-ordered instore on February 21, and was picked up at my local Disney Store on March 28, 2012. She is #1081 out of an edition of 8000.

She is a 17'' doll with an elaborate wedding gown and veil, and a jeweled crown. The gown has an ivory satin bodice with gold sun and floral embroidery, and white lace and gold trim. The skirt is silver satin with an ivory printed sun and floral pattern and gold trim, and bedecked with faux pearls. There is a full underskirt of purple satin with a gold printed sun and floral pattern, with white lace on the bottom. The veil is oversized and is two layered white tulle, with a softer, thinner layer underneath a stiffer coarser layer with a magnificient solar and floral glittering gold pattern.

She is a fully articulated doll, including poseable hands. She has a painted gold ring on the ring finger of her left hand. Her head mold and face painting are the same as the previous blonde haired LE 17'' Rapunzel from the Disney Store. However, her hair is short and brown, as she wore for her wedding in Tangled Ever After, and not long and blonde as she was until near the end of the first Tangled movie. Her eyelashes are rooted, but come in two lengths. This doll has the shorter length, straight eyelashes, that are similar to those depicted in the promo images. Other dolls in this same release have very long curvy lashes that are similar, but not quite as long, as the blonde long haired 17'' LE Rapunzel.

Once I fully debox her, I will find what other features the doll has, that are hidden by the way she is posed in the box.

FOR SALE This cue, signed by Bob Meucci and Nick Varner and stamped “Prototype” comes with a letter of authenticity from Bob Meucci asserting that this one of a kind prototype came from his collection. A priceless cue with charming looks!

FACADE

In the series Facade, I explore using faceless human bodies as an extension of city structures. I have created photographs of people without their likeness being the focal point, allowing their gestures to serve the same function that facial expressions do in portraiture. My intention was to focus on the fluidity of the body interacting with the rigidity of the infrastructure of the city, fusing the two to create temporary pieces of public art.

The LE 17'' Sgt Calhoun doll is photographed with the front of the box dropped down, so she is in clear view. She is attached to the cardboard backing and plastic spacer, and is standing supported by a custom black metal and plastic doll stand. The Certificate of Authenticity is in a plastic envelope in a slot under the cardboard backing. It is removed from the envelope and shown next to Sgt Calhoun. My serial number is #175 of 1000.

Personal Photos

Limited Edition: #175 of 1000

Released in stores and online November 2, 2012

Purchased in store on November 10, 2012.

I went to the Disney Store closest to home to buy Wreck-It Ralph merchandise, using the 25% off coupon that is good this weekend. To my surprise, they still had the Sgt. Calhoun LE 17'' doll on display. So I bought one of them, and will post photographs of her boxed, during deboxing, and finally fully deboxed. I will also attempt to remove her outfit.

偽日記,活版鉛字與影像書寫創作-陳文祺個展

Authenticity Temporal Memory – Chen Wen-Chi Solo Exhibition

"If time is that sea, we are pushing the lead and lost in the memory."

Chen Wen-Chi currently the Chairman of the department of Communication Design at Shih Chien University. "Authenticity Temporal Memory" is a new series of photographic installation works that follows up on Chen Wen Chi’s last two solo exhibitions, "the thing itself" in the Taipei Fine Art Museum and "the thing itself 2 Agape" in Fotoaura institute of photography. The exhibition in VT Artsalon will feature 100 installation works suspended out from the surface of the walls. The specimen boxes are the vessel for images and diary entries, recreating the actual state of time and space for the memory. This series is a continuation of the artist’s previous works; discuss the relationship between time, space and human existence.

In “Authenticity Temporal Memory” the artist juxtapose letterpress type with black and white image, using expressive words to presenting the feelings and travel observation of the five cities; in the installation time is not recognized, space and real memory that did not exist, works reflect metacognition, how it become something artificially created, the distressed effect of the image provide a sense of confusion in time, it has never cross the boundaries between past and future not does it exist in the present. Moveable lead types carve out the shape and the feel of ink, hitting and printing out one character at a time onto on acid-free card, verses of character depressed in ink are the remains of movable type. The texts reproduced on paper are the artistic marks and the aesthetics of “non-fast”

“Authenticity Temporal Memory” explores the ephemeral and impermanence. "False" is manmade, nothing is real in anything manmade; the truth in the past may become a fallacy today, the fallacy of today may be the truth of tomorrow. Toward reality people already seem to respond with a narcissus voice echoing in the Valley; “Authenticity Temporal Memory” is true to image as the credibility of memory, seemingly objective shooting after writing, once again become lost in the cracks of time and space. This series follows on the concept of the "Flesh is the prison of the soul" series, 100 installation works is suspended in mid-air, allowing a appropriate distance for seeing and reading, the heavy wooden box we see, will in the end be sealed into a mirror finished metal box. Photographic diary with slices of Kyoto, Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, confused the viewer of today's digital-oriented world, to what time and period we are looking. Chen Wen-Chi through the act of diary writing, express his feelings and concern with history, each text contain their rational and emotional landscape. If viewers can put aside time constraints, read every diary in space-time, conceptual, logical, speculative point of view, text, language of the work will flow in the current time.

Quiet times are real feelings, everything is condensed with time, time and memory entangles. Time and space are not flat images, they can be produced and reproduce, photography is precisely replicated time and space footage, text outline of past experience, large scale duplication quality of lead type, in " Authenticity Temporal Memory" has become specimen like engraved onto the screen. But truth is, even if we think that all is frozen, time has never stopped, all records are unrelated to reality, just a creation of a real past. Artists repeated assess the relations between images and space-time, providing the viewer a composition of images and words under the rule of a conceptual dimension.

Joseph Anthony Foy (b. February 21, 1943 – d. October 12, 1989 at age 46) was a Major League Baseball third baseman. Born in New York City, Foy was signed as an amateur free agent by the Minnesota Twins in 1962, but was selected in that year's minor league draft by the Boston Red Sox. Playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the International League in 1965, Foy was voted the league's Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year. He also won the league's batting title, hitting .302.

His first year in the majors, with Boston in 1966, was arguably his best season. Foy batted a solid .262, drew the second-most walks in the American League (91), had a .364 on-base percentage, good for eighth in the junior circuit; he also scored 97 runs, fifth in the league.

The Red Sox left Foy unprotected in the 1968 expansion draft. The Kansas City Royals selected him with the fourth pick. He had a fine season in 1969. While the league still only batted .246/.321/.369, Foy's numbers were .262/.354/.370. He also had 71 runs batted in, his career-high. Then, in a move considered by some to be one of the best trades in Royals history, Kansas City traded Foy to the third baseman-hungry Mets for Amos Otis and Bob Johnson. Otis developed into an All-Star, and an occasional MVP candidate. The Royals then traded Johnson the following year, after a 200 strikeout season, to the Pittsburgh Pirates for shortstop Fred Patek, who became another cornerstone of their rising franchise.

Foy posted a career-best .373 OBP while hitting .236/.373/.329 with 6 home runs and 37 RBI in 322 at-bats with New York. His best day as a Met, and perhaps of his entire career, came on July 19, 1970 when he went 5-for-5 with a double, two home runs, and five runs batted in as the Mets beat the Giants, 7-6, in 10 innings at San Francisco. Although his averages were not that far off from his career average, Foy was considered a disappointment to Mets fans.

After the season, the Mets left him off the roster, and the Washington Senators drafted him in the Rule 5 draft. Foy was only an average batter with the Senators batting .234/.363/.297 in 128 at-bats. He was sent to the minors in May. After batting .191 in 15 games, he was released on July 16, 1971 and never played another professional game.

Foy died of a heart attack on October 12, 1989, at his home in New York.

Eco moda d’autore Alessandro Acerra

AUTHORIAL ECOLOGICAL FASHION

Alessandro Acerra commenced a new concept of fashion, through the development of personal interpretation of the definition of recycling and authenticity.

The distinctive features of his fashion line are the fine details, the originality

of the design and the quality of the recycled materials. Each t-shirts is made with extreme care and realized in an exclusive way with the artist personal final finishing made by needle. The items are designed, cut out and sewn using different tissues. Alessandro draws the subjects, chooses the materials and paste everything together with his skilful touch. HIBU collection is 'eco' because each piece comes from remnants of famous brands or artigianal sartories. The clothes were once thought to be used by the famous Milan fashion catwalks and then recovered by Acerra, realizing today another art-form with an healthy message inherited. The items are paintings to be worn, they are an expression of luxury, they are at the same time real art work and consumerist objects. In fact you can wear, stain and clean them or simply hang them up to the wall like pictures, as the author himself advises. Each t-shirt is different from the others. Each one carries a certificate of authenticity which assure its uniqueness: there have a little tag, the signature of Alessandro Acerra and the serial number, expressing the good quality and the luxury of each article in order to satisfy even the most exacting collectors. Wearing a HIBU t-shirt tries to give a meaning to each individual, crating a personal fingerprint against the homologation generated by mass production and globalization. Alessandro Acerra personally takes care of all the details, from the concept of his masterpiece to the despatch of the product.

Even the package is excentric as you will receive the 'eco' t-shirts wrapped into “take-away pizza's boxes”. A choice which is not random, but it comes from the artist need of underlining his connection with both Italy and his substainable activity.

The ecological creations of Acerra are then a symbol of those elements which still nowadays represents Italy world-wide as quality and professionality. It derives from the choice of comes from a recycling as well.

My husband purchased this for me and I'm happy on it's appearance. I just believed it was extremely odd the seller known as him on his cell to try & sell him something different. He said no thanks, that is the one my wife wants & they still tried to convince him otherwise. We thought it to be strange but we got the right one after all. Quite pretty and nice to collect.

The Swarovski Crystal Perfume Bottle is a beautiful piece of Art. The colors of the crystals are vivid and the design unique.

The pictures of these bottles does not do justice of the absolute appeal and elegance of those perfume bottles! They're absolutely one of the most lovely points I've ever before observed and will likely be getting far more of these too as other products that I understand a lot of people would adore to very own. To pass up on a perfume bottle with the artwork and breathtaking attractiveness is actually a bad choice... buy these and ensure you buy one for yourself as well or you may likely follow my footsteps. I bought the very first ones for my daughters and decided I'm keeping them and they can have them when I die.. LOL.. I will likely be acquiring far more for them and my mother, my sisters, cousins, nieces, and my grandma. Don't make a decision to buy this according to the photo because the bottle is a lot a lot more magnificient then the image provides it credit score for.

This is an X-mas reward for my daughter. It truly is very pretty, really well made and a lot heavier than anticipated. The cap matches quite properly and screws on, so it can't fall out. That is not extremely common for these little bottles. The cap also has a good, but fragile, applicator stem.

I enjoy this bottle. I obtained it simply because I gather fragrance bottles and this one was various than most. When it arrived, the colors were much more vibrant than in the photos. The in depth banding is distinctive. It looks fantastic on my vanity.

Martial arts are an important and ancient part of South East Asian culture. Many South East Asian nations have their own style and tradition and compete with each other for credibility, authenticity and popularity. Cambodia is no different, and has two particularly strong traditions – Pradal Serey (also known as Kun Khmer) and Bokator – both of which have been claimed to be the “original” South East Asian martial art.

Due to the destruction of Cambodian culture and heritage under the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s, much information about the tradition of Khmer boxing has been lost. Many of the masters died, or fled the region. Even after the fall of the regime, former boxers (as is the case with many specialists in Cambodian arts) were frightened to revive the art and there has only really been a resurgence in the last 15 years. After research conducted in 2011, a number of scholars and authorities agreed upon “Kbach kun boran Khmer” (literally “Cambodian ancient fighting arts”) upon as the umbrella term for native pre-modern fighting arts.

Martials arts have certainly been part of Khmer culture for centuries. Bas-reliefs at the base of the entrance pillars to the Bayon temple depict various fighting scenes. One relief shows two men appearing to grapple, another shows two fighters using their elbows – both techniques used in different forms of Khmer boxing.

In 1995, Cambodia was keen to unite all the ASEAN nation martial arts under one name “Sovannaphum boxing” or “SEA Boxing”, representing Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. However, this was not accepted by other nations – especially Thailand – who were keen to preserve their unique form and name of their international sport.

Pradal Serey (meaning “free fighting”), also known as Kun Khmer, is a kickboxing form descended directly from early forms of Khmer fighting techniques. It is a national sport in Cambodia and has been slightly altered from the ancient form to allow for modern competition. Pradal Serey is hugely popular in Cambodia and many fights take place across the country every week. The sport has an organizing body called Cambodian Boxing Federation (CBF). Multiple tournaments are screened every week across a variety of TV channels. There is a Pradal Serey boxing stadium in Siem Reap, known as “The Ring of Champions”. The 700-seater CTN Angkor Arena hosts tournaments every Wednesday featuring fighters from all over the world and broadcasts live on Cambodian Television Network (CTN).

Some boxing specialists are wary of the modernization and popularization of boxing. Tournaments used to happen in pagodas, which meant spectators and boxers alike behaved in a respectful manner. The modern stadium sport has a very different feel and is linked heavily with gambling, which older practitioners feel to be disrespectful to the art.

A match consists of five three-minute rounds with a one-and-a-half or two minute break between each round. Boxers wear leather gloves and nylon shorts. Rules prohibit biting, blows to the back and the genitals, holding onto ropes and striking the opponent while on the ground. Victory is obtained by knockout. Pradal Serey has four types of attacking moves – punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes. While it is often characterized as a kick-boxing martial art, actually more victories in Pradal Serey come from elbow strikes.

Bokator is often confused with Pradal Serey, or used as a phrase for Khmer boxing as a whole. However, it is a specific version of Khmer boxing that has been popularized in recent years. San Kim Sean is often credited with reviving this style of boxing in Cambodia. A boxing practitioner and teacher, Sean fled to the US during the Khmer Rouge era. Returning to Cambodia, he began teaching Bokator in Phnom Penh in 2001 and also began seeking out the remaining living masters (known as Bokator Lokru – or Bokator teachers). In 2006 Phnom Penh hosted the first national Bokator competition with 20 lokrus taking part. Many people claim that Sean “invented” the Bokator name and style of boxing and are dismissive of it as just another modern version of the ancient Khmer tradition.

Bokator uses weapons techniques, with bamboo staffs and short sticks. Unarmed attacks involve a combination of elbow and knee strikes, shin kicks, submissions and ground fighting. Bokator fighters wear different colored kromas around their waist denoting their level. The first grade is white, followed by green, blue, red, brown, and finally black, which has 10 degrees. Fighters also wear silk cords around their heads and biceps.

Bokator is a broader sport that Pradal Serey, which is a more condensed style of fighting using a smaller range of techniques. The Bokator art has 341 sets based on life and nature and in the unarmed spectrum of the art alone there are over 8000 different fighting techniques. There are different styles for different animals (bird, naga, horse etc) all of which have different moves associated with them.

Most Cambodian boxers compete to earn money to feed their families and do not come from privileged backgrounds. In the past, boxers were paid by the crowd and rewarded with food, money and alcohol if they did well. This still happens today but now organized fights have official fees. This can be a little as $15, or as much as $100 for famous name boxers. Fighters can earn up to $1000 in international tournaments.

There are a number of Bokator and Kun Khmer fighting schools around the country – the biggest concentration existing in Phnom Penh and a few in Siem Reap. Battambang is also well-known for producing Kun Khmer champions. There are very few classes available that are aimed at tourists, as most schools exist to train the next generation of Cambodian fighting champions. However there are some that will welcome drop-ins to their classes, although be prepared for an intense physical workout, and the likelihood that few people will speak English, or a second language.
