Hopetoun Falls - a wonderful place to relax and reflect, the Otways , such a beautiful part of the world.
A rare opportunity to photograph the sea stacks at Gibsons Steps from a different view, Hope you enjoy the image
A different perspective on the Barwon River bridge, a view from beneath it, I just liked how the colours just work well together, hoping you like it.
I hope you find this image of the Melbourne skyline, taken on Sandridge bridge as riveting as I did. I know, stick to my day job, leave the comedy to the pros. Have a great day Melbourne. Cheers Rob
The Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet is always a wonderful subject to photograph from different perspectives. This image was taken just before a storm hit the area, luckily made it back to the car just before it pelted down.
Part of my Surfcoast /Great Ocean Road trip. Bay of Martyrs - There are plenty of lookout areas to enjoy along this stretch of coastline, particularly at sunset when the sky turns a milky pink
One of my favourite landmarks in Perth is this cute little timber boat house. It's one of the most over photographed subjects in Perth. This was taken one evening in early October, after the sun had set, leaving behind some truly gorgeous colours.
Never a dull moment at Cradle Mountain, we spent 3 days there.
Day 1 = Sun
Day 2 = Rain
Day 3 = Snow
This is an area that I would like to return to and spend more time exploring and doing the different hikes.
Cropped in 16:9 and my latest background image for my desktop is this shot from Port Fairy. Such a beautiful town, one which I really enjoy visiting, not just for taking photos but for all the wonderful restaurants, cafe’s and pubs and activities on offer. Tried to limit the movements in the boats, although still get a nice reflections in the water with this long exposure.
Kookaburras are almost exclusively carnivorous, eating mice, snakes, insects, small reptiles, and the young of other birds. Unlike many other kingfishers, they rarely eat fish, although they have been known to take goldfish from garden ponds. In zoos, they are usually fed food suitable for birds of prey.
Staying with the St Leonards theme, this image was taken some 20 minutes after the last image I posted of the Sirens Boathouse & Kiosk. I could not believe how quickly Mothers Nature can turn things around to produce an amazing colour display. Hoping you enjoy the tones as much as I did.

We all have slow days, off days days we feel tired or uninspired, but they are nothing to concern yourself with. Like the ocean, the stillness is just another of its natural states. Soon the winds will return, the waves will rise and your imagination will flow freely again.

Built by Com-eng to a Western Australia Design for the Mount Isa Mines Group, 5802 served its entire life shunting wagons at Mica Creek Power Station. Here it shunted the vast yard wagons She was overhauled at Zig Zag Railway and was purchased by Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway in 2020 with the generous assistance of the Ipswich City Council.
More experimenting with shutter speeds. A photo of Perth skyline taken from across the river. It was a pretty windy day, and by using a long exposure I was able to capture wind movement in the clouds.
As much as I love a blanket of blue sky, for photography purposes give me a beautiful blue sky with some fluffy white clouds any day. Clouds add atmosphere to an image.
This is a 30 second exposure, taken with a 10 stop neutral density filter.
Eaglehawk Neck, South East Coast Tasmania - Although the sunrise was a non event this morning, I still enjoyed natures natural patterns of the Tessalated Pavements, its definately a must visit location.

The tall basalt columns of Bombo Quarry, close to Kiama Australia. The columns themselves are hexagonal in shape and shoot up 10-15meters above you. To put things into perspective the stone in front is a little taller than a person. Shooting this location has to be one of my top 5 seascape spots in NSW. During high tide, seen in this photo, the waves crash into the columns and spray high in the air, but they also wash up on to the platform I was shooting from. This makes it a pretty dangerous location and you always need to be aware of the ocean. Since I've been around the ocean a lot I know to be ready for the "set", which is a larger set of waves that arrives every 5 minutes or so. Highly recommend this place to other photographers :-)

Yes, it's that boat shed. Again!
It's one of Perth's most popular landmarks and possibly the most photographed boat shed in the whole of Australia. It's definitely one of my favourite local subjects to photograph.
The boat shed sits prominently on the Swan River, between the city and the suburb of Crawley, a reminder of times past.
A visit to Perth isn't complete without checking out and photographing this cute little weatherboard boat house and its timber boardwalk. Who needs a bridge or an opera house when you've got the Blue Boat Shed?!
I've been having fun experimenting with different styles of photography. I love traffic light trails, like these I captured going to and from Perth city recently.
This is the second time I've tried my hand at capturing light trails. It wasn't an overly long exposure - just 13 seconds. I think I experimented with a variety of shutter speeds, from about 5 seconds upwards. This was my favourite.
I particularly like this shot because I managed to capture the cityscape and some river reflections in the background. I think it looks pretty cool. I'll be looking out for other vantage points in the city to take more light trails.
Dublin Bus Enviro400 EV 61 all wrapped up in Aussie hair products, who were also sponsoring the Electric Picnic music festival in 2018.
This Aussie advertisment is the first commercial wrap on a Dublin Bus EV class ( excluding the city tour version ) & fits very nicely on the Alexander bodywork.
EV 61 is the only wrap featuring the Aussie campaign although there were also plenty of sideboards etc.
EV 61 operates from Ringsend Garage, seen here on route 1 between Sandymount & Santry, seen here southbound on O'Connell Street.
