Aussie the Australian Cattle dog (Blue Healer) is now 4 months old (January 18th) He weighs 23.5 pounds, has had all his puppy shots including the rabies shot. He likes to snooze and go for walks. We are looking forward to taking him to the high country for walks on the trails this summer. P.S., He still thinks house training is for sissies, but he is making progress slowly, very slowly.
This poor bendy bus has been sitting here awhile, it looks ex Australia and carjam says its a 1984 Volvo B10 but not so sure on that.

Gutted my car broke down on the way over to Santa Pod Friday lunch time then unfortunately the Aussie Outlaw put a hole through a piston in the evening on a 6.7 second pass so I never actually saw the car run.
The car and team have been visiting from Australia having had lots of help from a crown funder and the Banshee Racing team. This was the first Outlaw Anglia to run a 6 second pass and they added a few more 6 second runs while visiting Santa Pod including a quickest ever side by side with Colin Millar also running a 6 at Summer Nationals.
Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible and wish the team a safe trip home.

Nationalistic pride , their popping up every where of late , the good ole Aussie flag a little bit of the old Union Jack and the Southern Cross that goes to make up our national flag . There has been attempts to change it , but its still with us , going back to our roots with the UK and our part , the stars of the Southern Cross which is where we are geographically situated . So thats our flag !
And its raining on this Australia Day and it kept on raining too ...

Ok guys, meet Anna, Matija, & Zoé (l to r)... I came across these awesome aussies one hot summer's day in Paris which might be appropriate for their origins. I had originally noticed them walking down the street as they had emerged from the métro station. Matjia said something which registered in my brain as ENGLISH ! And I couldn't help but admire his outfit of Panama hat, denim cut offs and leather leggins' . I was on the beat that day for some street photography & I wondered, could I , should I ? But they quickly walked away, so I just let it pass.
Later on, walking down the same road again, who do I see but the same trio. Oddly enough, I had just bumped into Marié again...and had sat down at a café for a moment or two with her. I told her about all the flickr love she received and she really was thrilled. She also corrected the spelling of her name, so I want to note that.
So back to the awesome Aussies. I tryed a little street shot, but didn't really feel like I was happy with it. They were in the midst of renting a Velib, which I always had questions about, so I decided to approach them.
After some helpful guidance about the procedure, we started to talk a little bit more. Anna & Matija are both from Melbourne and Anna is here in Paris studying languages, and is on her way to Spain for a short trip before returning for the next semester here. Matija is studying international relations and french … both very useful here in Paris, as we discussed :-). I was happy to hear that he hearts NY and is on his way there in a few weeks time to study. Yay! Matija! Zoé is the third member of the group and just recently met Matija and Anna in Portugal. She is not from Australia, but from New Zealand, so I guess she's not actually an Aussie. :) She’s been in Europe for 6 months traveling and will be headed to Eastern Europe after spending some more time here.
Well, it was easy enough to ask if they would like to participate in the 100 strangers project. I told them a bit about it, and they are even considering trying the project themselves! OK, so we might see 3 more members to the group in the future !
It was so much fun to hang out with these guys for a while … thanks Zoé, Matija & Anna !
