The Audi R8 Spyder is a 2 door convertible/cabriolet style car with a mid mounted engine supplying power to all four wheels.
The 5.2 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, double overhead camshaft, 10 cylinder unit that has an output of 533 bhp (540 PS/397 kW) of power at 7800 rpm, and maximum torque of 540 N·m (398 lb·ft/55.1 kgm) at 6500 rpm. Lubrication is of the dry sump-type.
The power is transferred to the wheels through a 7 speed automatic gearbox.
Quoted weight at the kerb is 1795 kg.
Its maximum speed stated is 318 km/h, which is 198 mph, quoted fuel consumption figures are 17.0/8.7/11.7 l/100km urban/extra-urban/combined, and carbon dioxide emissions are 277.0 g/km.

Supercar Sunday 2014. De Belgische vriendengroep die de Antwerp Expendables vormen waren aanwezig op ons circuit in de duinen. Ik weet niet of de Ford GT bij de groep hoort, maar hij stond op een mooie plek naast de Ferrari 458 Speciale. Verder veel 911'jes in verschillende uitvoeringen en een aantal Nissan GT-R's en Audi R8's.

Supercar Sunday 2014. The Belgian group of friends that form the Antwerp Expendables were present at our circuit in the dunes. I don't know if the Ford GT belongs to the group as well, but he was rather nice parked next to the Ferrari 458 Speciale. Furthermore, many 911's in different versions and a few Nissan GT-R's and Audi R8's.

WOW. Not only do Majorette make a very accomplished second generation Audi R8 in closed coupe form but they now also produce it in this drop dead gorgeous Spyder form. Bristling with all manner of niceties including some far better looking wheels than on previous basic Majos, it comes as some relief to find such beautifully crafted 1/64 pocket money toys here in the U.K. amongst so much HTI generic dross and the ever available Hot Wheels. Bought recently from Morrisons as part of a heavily refreshed 2018 Street Cars series. Mint and boxed.
A little late to the second generation Audi R8 party with Majorette bringing out theirs well before Hot Wheels but as always my motto is "better late than never". Let me say though that for a diecast designed to be sold for less than one Dollar in the U.S. I think you are going to be very impressed by the new 2019 Audi R8 Spyder.
Hot Wheels seems to be riding high with its recent Audi castings and this one is no exception, precise intricate tampo detailing attached to a very accurate body which wisely they've given a clean all white colour for its debut. Found today in ASDA as part of a small Case K haul. Mint and boxed.
Zij aan zij, deze twee supercars. Het geweldige achterwerk van de Carrera GT naast de veel nieuwere 458 Spider. Beide net gearriveerd op het IVA-terrein en aan het afkoelen van de Droomrit. Dat moet hoe dan ook een geslaagde dag zijn geweest.

Side by side, these two supercars. The great backside of the Carrera GT alongside the much newer 458 Spider. Both just arrived on the field next to the IVA Business School and cooling down of the event 'Droomrit' (an initiative for sick children to ride along in a supercar the whole day). That must have been a successful day.

Majorette Audi R8 Spyder now available in a three vehicle set being found at TK Maxx. A Street Cars casting which is considered their budget "basic" line yet systematically outshines any Hot Wheels and Matchbox equivalent. Mint and boxed.

Seemingly a brand new recolour for the smart Majorette basic Street Cars Audi R8 Spyder. They have also finally realised the importance of using decent realistic looking wheels which in this instance almost look of premium quality!
