Its historic, cast-iron and glass domed "Palm House" was built in 1910 and is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act. A botanical gem in the heart of the city, Allan Gardens has a permanent collection of exotic plants and beautiful seasonal flower shows.
My sister and I passed by this power plant as we were driving home from the beach a while back. We both found it quite an eerie sight. I tried to bring that mood into this piece.
The adult males are difficult to find. During the migration they are the first to leave on their road South. I felt fortunate to catch this one zipping around the backyard the last of August.

The New Synagogue on Oranienburger Strasse in the district of Berlin-Mitte is a building of outstanding importance for the history of the Jews in Berlin and an important architectural monument. It was inaugurated in 1866. The remaining part of the structure is a listed building.
It was once the largest and most important synagogue in Germany and today is not only a place where Jewish life is practiced, but also a popular tourist attraction.

Today's Sunday is national mourning day, in Germany a public holiday to commemorate those who fell in the Second World War. therefore with these pictures I include the memory of the fate of the Jewish fellow citizens who were inflicted so much suffering in this period and who have an infinite number of deaths to mourn.

Volkstrauertag
I took this photo in 1999 with an analog Canon EOS AZ300 camera, and Kodak Gold negative film, ISO 100. Then scanned it with a Nikon Coolscan LS40ED film scanner.

The Colored Canyon is one of the most visited attractions of the Sinai Peninsula / Egypt.
This subject is pretty close to the ground. Because of the large amount of dust that has been blown up, it can hardly be seen and becomes visible by pouring some water over it.

On this day last year we were exploring the back roads of the Palouse in eastern Washington. I think this barn with the collapsed roof has been photographed many times, but, what the hell, here is mine to add to the collection :)

Who doesn't have hundreds of pictures of these in La Jolla?
Something about this one just worked for me. I like the fact that the lighter fur on the front have of the subject's body stood out, almost as if spotlighted. The sky is pretty overcast with marine layer, which is dull in color, but in monochrome it almost seems as though she has a ray of light on her.
