My attempt at the "Crazy Tuesday" theme "Numbers"
Shows a tiny part of a grapevine. They really create interesting shapes in their growth.
Shot with a Tamron "(Noritsu) 48.5 mm F 2.8" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Tradition".
I tried to include two christmas traditions in our family: The first one is crafting things from paper (as you can see my youtube channel on paper crafting might still have to wait a few years... 😅) and the second one is the whole family taking a walk to a random tree in the woods to have a little celebration outside!
This tree is around 28 mm in height.
Shot with a Fuji "Fujinon-EFC 108 mm F 5.6" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Conditions were perfect: 80% chance of rain and strong winds. What could be better? For shooting osprey, nothing. Rain suit for me and my camera and a surprising a lot of other adventurous souls showed up for the show. The pelicans seemed to being doing better than the osprey, dive after dive while the osprey were out in force looking but not catching much. This one did well however, and one greedy pelican made an attempted steal. The osprey pulled up up an away!
My attempt at the "Smile on Saturday" theme "Floral Fantasy".
Sorry for the abundance of sunflower shots. I just didn‘t have too much to choose so I decided to experiment with what was on hand.
Shot with a "Tomioka-Copal 106 mm F 4.5" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Gulls are notorious for attempted thievery which provides terrific photo opportunities!

Shot with a Nissin Optical "Sankor 5.5 inch F 2.2" (cine projection) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
An attempt, to depict the landscape of the beautiful Baltic Sea island of Rügen in Second Life.
Ein Versuch, die Landschaft der wunderschönen Ostsee Insel Rügen in Second Life darzustellen.
Attempt at showing the size of one of the big virgin red pines in the Lost Forty forest.
This section of forest lies within the Chippewa National Forest near Bigfork, Minnesota. A Minnesota DNR Scientific and Natural Area, the 32 acre Lost Forty SNA, is also part of this beautiful site.
Due to a surveying error back in 1882, this 144 acre section was never logged. As a result, there are numerous 300-400 year old magnificent old-growth red and white pines in this special place.
The sight of these incredible trees isn't the only thing you experience here. The smell of this forest is unique. The sound is also unique. The breeze blowing through the crowns of these old pines make this piece of the north woods sing a totally different tune than most other sections of forest up here. You have to experience it to understand what I am saying.
For more information about the Lost Forty, go to the Chippewa National Forest's Lost Forty Website or the Minnesota DNR's Lost Forty SNA Website.
This is my second attempt at layering. I used two different textures by dog ma, my source of inspiration for textured photos. In my humble opinion......she is the queen. :0) I love this photo of hers......... love this!!
Please give me your honest opinions! :0) This was done using Picnik.
My second attempt at portraying the goddess Ostara (Eostre) for Rungardviks Photo Contest.
The picture is edited.
You are never too old to learn, and she was an almost unknown Goddess to me. I have come to understand that she brings spring to life, is capable of manipulating all of spring's components, and can control and grow flowers with her mind. I think she can wake up the Butterflies too ❤.

My attempt at the "Crazy Tuesday" theme "Red".
Shot with a Schneider Kreuznach "Componon 35 mm F 4" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Jasper attempts to gnaw on his giggle ball birthday present (he turned 8 on Sunday). The thing is rock-hard so I don't think he'll be doing much damage to it. Apparently it is fun to chase though.
One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Low Key".
This shows a tiny detail from the head of an electric toothbrush. The green bundle is around 2 mm in diameter, so this is probably around 9:1 magnification.
HSS!
Shot with a Noritsu "32 mm F 4" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Attempt at Pep Ventosa technique. It's not very good but I am going back to it again.... Just a small copy.
An attempt at a stack (of 14 images taken with my 100mm macro lens, using Zerene stacker) of this dew-laden hoverfly, from a few months ago (18 October 2017).
It's quite wobbly in places! I should have started with something a bit easier ;D
Gulls line the cliffs on Skomer waiting for the Puffins to return with fish to feed their young..... and mug them. This Puffin aborted the landing attempt and made another circuit of the Wick to try again....
A real grey and wet day....
Attempt at Abstract Layers for Compositionally Challenged
Shot of a sunflower with a second photo of a broken window, and Infrared filter applied, all done with the Ribbet editor.
This photo was my first attempt to process a Nikon (NEF) RAW file with Nikon software (Capture NX-D) before applying noise reduction in Topaz Denoise as a 16-bit TIFF file. Unfortunately, Topaz Denoise does not recognise edits made to Nikon RAW files, hence the necessity to save as a TIFF file. Further tweaks were then made in PS and Lr.
I struggled with this picture. I wanted some bright highlights in the background but the tops of the stalks of grass are lost in the clutter.
My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Damage".
It shows a small part (40 mm/ 1.5 in) of a giant crack across my iPad... that I dropped on the concrete floor! (Great job! Better hand this man an expensive camera immediately!)
Shot with a Carl Zeiss "S-Planar 74 mm F 4" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
This is my first attempt at macro with flowers, I know it's not great as there's nothing in sharp focus but I liked the colours...
The Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney salesman. Samyang tele-lens wide-open; natural light, contre-jour, reflector.
A new attempt to get up early with Flickr friend Esther5h (On and Off) to the AWD resulted in a lovely experience...from now till next week I will publish the results..
